Widescreen iBooks slated for January?
These days it seems like every time a big Apple event is on the horizon, talk of
widescreen iBooks picks up again. So
it's no surprise that ThinkSecret has yet again reported
that according to their sources, Apple might supposedly be releasing a 13.1-inch widescreen iBook in January, one with
a WXGA resolution (1280 x 720). Unfortunately, they didn't have much to say about that previous rumor of theirs
regarding the Intel iBook's launch in January — so which
is it gonna be? Well, ThinkSecret didn't make mention of that Intel rumor in this latest story, so we'll use the
awesome power of deductive reasoning and estimate that for January a widescreen, non-Intel iBook is at least far more
likely than an Intel iBook of any flavor.
[Thanks, Dave]

And you post this comment why Sebhelyesfarku? Oh I know, any time you see an Apple post, you go off like a 14 year old during his first wet dream and spout your hatred. Grow up. And for the record, No, I am a PC guy by nature. 4800+ dual core lovin for me.

Wake me up when we get Powerbooks that can actually perform for what they cost... that line has just been stagnating.

Directly from the article...
"Apple appears on track to deliver an Intel-based iBook early next year, sources report, and in doing so will replace its long-standing 14.1-inch model with a widescreen 13.3-inch display."
Looks like they directly addressed the issue of Intel inside the iBook. Now it just remains to see if it is true.

is it just me or are those ibooks in the picture stretched too wide? instead of 16:10 (or whatever the industry standard is) that thing looks more like 2.35:1 to me lol

#2 is the friggin' mole!
Apple is going cinemascope with the next rev of the iBooks. My sources told me they tried Cinerama but couldn't design a hinge for it.

I don't really care for if it is widescreen or not, however, I would rush out to get one if there was Intel Inside. Haha, My bro recently converted me in a mac person.
Anyways, Apple have to worry about how zen's got a MP3 player with wireless connectivity.

I'll hold out for the intels myself.

Whoever is making those ibook photos has their screen resolution set incorrectly. They are warped, and look far too wide.

The image looks stretched because it IS stretched.
No one as a pic of the real widescreen iBooks yet, so these will have to do for the moment.
