NEC LaVie LR700D - first Yonah laptop?
NEC seems eager to preempt the competition, since the company has announced that its new LaVie LR700D and LR900D laptops will be the company’s first portables powered by Intel’s Yonah processor — and has provided virtually no other info about the new boxes. Well, there’s a little more info: the new laptops will apparently have a 100GB drive, a dual-layer DVD burner and a 14-inch 1400x1050 display, and will weigh in at about 4.4 pounds. Everything else — including that all-important price point / release date — remains a mystery at this point.
