Maybe MS and Sony in their quest for power have actually missed out on the key demographic ie not older hardcore gamers but the millions of 10 to 17 year olds who want something to play in their bedrooms!
The 360 and the PS3 with their HD outputs and Blue ray player (ps3 only) are features that will be lost on these gamers and its them that drive the market imo.
The difference in quality of graphics will not be noticable on an SDTV I feel, and I cant see millions putting HDTV's in bedrooms!
If Nintendo can come out with a cheap consolse, good games and players take to the "wand" then they may do alright
