The 2005 Engadget Awards: Nominate the Tablet PC of the Year

Nominating is easy. Just leave a comment as you normally would with what you're nominating for this category (remember, comments must be validated!). You don’t have to include your reasons for nominating it or any of that stuff, just leaving the name is fine.
Limit your nominations only to devices that were introduced and sold for the first time in 2005 (which means no concept devices or prototypes, though we will allow updated versions of previous products).
Also, products only need to be nominated once to be in the running, so if you’re planning on suggesting something, please make a quick scan to see if someone’s already beat you to it (i.e., please don't nominate anything more than once!). Thanks!

Motion Computing LE1600- Hands down the best value on the market. It comes at a premium, but you get all that you pay for and more. I've had my hands on a lot of Tablet PC's, but the Motion Computing LE1600 is the best value out there, and thats why my company has chosen to stick with the Motion product as long as we have. My clients know everytime that they are getting the best from us. http://www.tabletpcsmart.com

The Sahara i213 slate pc should get a serious consideration for it's specs nearly the same as LE 1600 (battery life still longer on the LE 1600).

If Apple had a slate/tablet PC, it would probably look like this beauty... beautiful white casing, very simple and clean, and minimal bezel, all screen.
While it would never work for me, the Gateway convertible has clearly changed "mass" thinking about Tablet PC
Lenovo X41
Another vote for the new Gateway Convertible. As a very satisfied owner of the S7200c configuration I can point to the brilliant display, excellent battery life, high performance, and full feature set as big winners at a very competitive price. While not a great solution for the highly mobile, it is truly a desktop replacement for Tablet PC users who can afford to trade some additional weight for performance and capability.
sahara i215

Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X41 Tablet - Tablet PC must be light enough to carry around as it spend more time on user's arm. It must be tough enough to face drop - user could accidentally drop it. And it must also have a good backup, system advantage or any security systems such as Access IBM/Lenovo Thinkvantage, Security Susystem 2.0, Integrated Fingerprint Reader, Long hours of usage with a single battery charge, Active Protection System - to protect the harddisk against failure or lost of data due to hard drop or shake. IBM/Lenovo are well known for system stability.. from my experience, i havent much encounter any kind of tablet/laptop as good as IBM/Lenovo products. Even though IBM/Lenovo are expensive, but you paying for the right product, you wont regret of getting it. Cheers.. :D
LG LT-20.
