Samsung YM-PD1 DMB PMP pictures
When we first heard about Samsung's YM-PD1 PMP last year, most of the specs were in place, but we were at a loss for pics of the media player. Now images have begun to surface, and we have to admit it looks pretty darn good. Specs appear to be unchanged: 4-inch display, MPEG4, WMV, AVI, Divx and Xvid- compatibility, SD card slot, and that DMB receiver which makes it clear this is likely to remain a Korea-only release.

Interesting but why would I use this over my PocketPC running PocketTV?
Good codec support, but lots of real estate wasted on the front of the device. Make the screen bigger if the device has to be that big.
#1 I can understand your position, but...
PocketPCs have terrible battery life comparably speaking. Watch a an hour or two of video and you'll run the risk of draining your PPC's battery to a point where you will lose your data. What good is having important info on a PPC and you can't get to it because the battery is too low?
I've switched from a PPC and cellphone, to a Windows Mobile Smartphone to replace them both. (Audiovox SMT-5600) Battery life is great and media playback is stellar.
But if someone needed a PPC, then a PMP makes a great supplement.

If that screen is 4", the device is HUGE! My A2 has a 4" screen that makes up nearly all of the front of the device - unlike this PMP - and its big enough as it is.
Some people are never satisfied. Make it small and people say they would never watch TV on a screen that small. Make it bigger and they whine that you can't fit it into your pocket. Decide what's more important for you, but don't ask for two things that are mutually exclusive.
