The Concerto Table
We all knew the Hi-Fi wasn't hi enough fi for you, but Lovegrove & Respucci have gone too far with their Concerto Table. With all the hubbub of their new flagship store here in New York, we totally missed out on this thing being shown off at the SoHo store last weekend, but the oh-so-elegant poplar, stainless and carbon steel designer table shaped after, well, you know, also happens to have an integrated Apple AV Connection Kit and two 50 watt speakers. Sorry guys, but you're too late; when it comes to going geek-classical, we're already latched onto the Maestro.

This Ipod crap is really getting out of hand...
Cloud @ May 25th 2006 10:48AM
lol @ #2.. You just got pwnt!
I really don't know what to think about this. Somehow it reminds me of the $100 ipod leather case which was overhyped.
daaper @ May 25th 2006 11:05AM
uh...#2 is also #1, does that mean you just "pwnt" yourself, Cloud?
back to the story, that is the most rediculous thing i have ever seen and probably costs as much as a real player piano...

I agree #3

I'm not buying the concerto table until a white leather case for it hits the market!

Why not just add a iPod connector and speakers to a real piano. Would look 1000x better and would be functional.
pmsg @ May 25th 2006 2:44PM
Or, you could do what I did and hook your iPod up to a REAL piano...

That thing is fugly!
Mike @ May 25th 2006 6:08PM
i think that if it didnt have the speakers the thing could be called the biggest waste of space ever. Glad someone in Apple thought ahead.
gio @ May 25th 2006 6:11PM
Were would you have space to put that fugly thing? Its so big. I think I can make a homemade version for $80 Some wood, varnish, white gloss paint and a cutting saw from home depot.
Tim @ May 25th 2006 8:09PM
This is ridiculous... iPods were meant to be portable in the first place. If I want to listen to music at home thats what my home stereo system is used for.
Whoever is this rich to buy something this stupid should return it and do something smart with the money like giving it to charity. Sheesh!
Brian from Texas @ May 26th 2006 12:32PM
pmsg, you are truly geeky!
Vasily @ Jun 16th 2006 4:08AM
I think the thing is gorgeous! Would create huge impression if something like "Vers la Flamme" by Scriabin is played on the iPod!! How much does it cost??
