Mouse Computer's m-Book GW and SW
Japanese OEM Mouse Computer has two new laptops for you to check out, the m-Book GW and SW. The 17-inch WSXGA+ (1680 x 1,050) GW features a GeForce Go 7600, ExpressCard/54 slot, 3-in-1 card reader, FireWire, DVI, S-Video, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11/a/b/g, and, of course, a Core Duo processor (2GHz T2500, to be exact). Its smaller sibling the SW has a 12.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800) display, and rocks the same 2GHz Core Duo chip, 100GB drive, dual-layer DVD±R drive, ExpressCard/54 slot, 3-in-1 card reader, FireWire, S-Video, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11/a/b/g, and Bluetooth. Expect them to set you back as much as ¥212,100 and ¥177,450 (about $1,900 and $1,600 US) respectively if you're planning a trip to Japan to do some laptop shopping this summer.

These guys have a *LONG* way to go before they catch up to Apple design wise. Nice try, but like every other POS out there, I think I'll pass....

Wounds like a nice laptop I would consider buying if it was in the US. It may have a while to catch up to apple's design, but apple has a long way to go to get a 17' with 2gig duo down sub 2k

Hey DS. Why bother posting that message on this site, more than once even (http://www.engadget.com/2006/05/24/msi-releases-12-1-inch-dual-core-s271-laptop/). If you aren't interested, go somewhere else. Not everyone on this site is a fanboy for some specific corporation. Go post your pro-Apple anti-everyone else garbage on Apple's site.

yeah, they lack so much design acumen that they fit dual layer dvd, expresscard 54, and media reader in a 12" laptop with better screen res than my 15" powerbook g4. what a piece of crap. :P

Can someone mod DS down for continually bashing anything but Apple?
