Japan's
Mouse Computer (MCJ) brings us their latest budget laptop, the LuvBook i1200DW. Sportin' the 1.66GHz Core Duo T2300E, this LuvBook features a 12.1-inch LCD with 1280 x 800 resolution, 512MB of DDR2 memory (2GB max), 60GB disk, dual-layer DVD burner, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and integrated Intel 945GM Express graphics. And this 24~32-millimeter (0.94~1.26-inch) wedge also packs 4 x USB 2.0 ports, Firewire, modem, multi-format memory card reader, and an ExpressCard slot into that 4.1-pound slab. Nothing really to love here, or hate-on either especially with a price of ¥130,000 (about $1,121) which ain't bad for Core Duo action in Japan. Still with a name like "LuvBook" we were expecting a little fahrvergnügen at the very least.

Choices. If you can live without the dual-layer and the memory card readers, I rather have a less expensive macbook, with 1.83ghz core duo, isight, remote, and available worldwide.
A little OT, but where does the expression "farfegnugen" actually come from?
Does it have anything to do with car advertisements containing words like "Fahrvergnügen"?
I don't mean to be nitpicking here, but I fail to see the link between "luv" and "Fahrvergnügen" from the meaning alone, so I'll happily accept any lecture about the use of German words in actively spoken English... :-)
I know from my 11th grade year away in Sazgitter, Germany that "Fahrvergnügen" means driving pleasure. So, really, what do you mean? You want it to come here to the US?
BTW: I did use "Schadenfreude" properly in English conversation today.
