Sony was a little lax about making sure we knew
they were going pink with Pink on the PSP today, too, but it does indeed look like we can chalk up
another color for the portable. Apparently the singer's just doing
the usual sponsored / co-branded business, releasing the P!nk Limited Edition PSP with headphones, remote, 32MB Memory Stick, but what raised a couple eyebrows over yonder is the fact that she's not signed with Sony, and what's more Sony will also offering Pink downloads on their YourPSP site. Anywho, from what we understand Sony pulled the official release, so they're apparently not yet prepped to discuss the ramifications of the PSP getting femmed out even though we now know it will run you €229 or £169 when it debuts October 27th.

I can see selling pink DS Lites. But I just CAN'T imagine anyone playing GTA, Ridge Racer, Etc. on a pink PSP. Nice Try.

Something not quite right about this pink. It's too dark, isn't it? Or pale? Or too matte? It rubs me the wrong way somehow. And I'm normally a fan of goofy girly colored game systems.

sony are that desperate for cash ie lets not mention their 700 hundred million dollar loan they have had to resort to the v3 sales model- put your product in pink and hope it apeals to the girls. I wouldn't be surpised if they started offering pink tv's next.

Seems kind of weird that they're going after girls with the pink system, but with no games that appeal to females.
This would be a whole lot better if Sony was donating proceeds from the sale of this and the Pink PS2 for breast cancer research.

It can't even handle surfin the web with its cartridge add-on. What other cartidge add-on are they gonna try?

Is it just being released in europe ? I could almost understand it if they released a pink PSP in Japan. As macho and male oriented a society as Japan has, believe it or not, lots of guys here wear pink. And I don't mean those 'pink' button down shirts that dudes sometimes wear to the office with a suit. I mean pink t-shirts and polo shirts and such.
But, young Japanese males these days (of the slightly thuggish variety) are suprisingly foppish.
So over here a pink PSP probably wouldn't sell any worse than a black one...which isn't really saying much I suppose...

Nintendo can release a pink DS because at least a decent percentage of their fan base is female, and they have the games to support it.
Some brilliant marketer at Sony thought this would be a good idea, but let me tell you, a colour change and Loco Roco do not a good system make.

I am in Australia and can't get this PSP because they are only available in the UK. I think pink is a great colour.
