Just like
Microsoft, Nintendo was a tad cramped in the PAX exhibition hall -- their full setup could've squeezed into a small corner of
their Wii extravaganza at E3. But they're making the best of things with an all DS all the time booth, and quite a few new games on display such as Yoshi's Island 2 and Final Fantasy III. We can't deny we're a bit disappointed by the
Wii's absence, and the resulting lines would've been fun to see as well, but it's not hard to see why Nintendo opted to keep their little mysterious console off the floor. Of course, with no plans by Nintendo to show the Wii at the Tokyo Games Show, we're starting to wonder if it'll show up in "public" at all before its
still-undefined launch, but we suppose we'll see it when we see it.

Apple should team up with Nintendo... I think they would make strange but awesome bedfellows.

It's official, Nintendo has given up on the GBA. Even FFV isn't shown on a Micro, it's on a DSL.

"It's official, Nintendo has given up on the GBA. Even FFV isn't shown on a Micro, it's on a DSL."

Oh how I'd love to have one of those display setups.
"It's official, Nintendo has given up on the GBA. Even FFV isn't shown on a Micro, it's on a DSL."
Place yourself hall full of competitors and you want to give the press a preview of your new product. You have the choice of displaying it on diagonally, a .7 inch screen or a 3 inch screen.
Which is the better choice?
I think Nintendo might just be using logic. They have a tendency to do that.

I love Nintendo and I always have, but what the hell were you thinking when you said that??? Look no further than the name 'Wii'. Where's your logic now, huh?
AyAn4m1 @ Aug 27th 2006 2:11AM
Yeah, I can see them using the DS Lite instead of a Micro to demo games, but please don't say Nintendo is the most cold, calculating console manufacturer. Their entire business model is based on throwing logic out of the window, and it seems like it worked pretty well for them with the Wii.

It's "damnit" not "dammit" DAMNIT!!
craig @ Aug 27th 2006 12:23PM
no, it's dammit. idiot.
Ed @ Aug 27th 2006 2:30PM
Hate to say it but actually "they're" is correct, since _they are_ "making the best of things".
"Their" is used to say that _something_ belongs to "them".
Jason @ Aug 27th 2006 3:29PM
They're is right, you tool. "But they're making the best of things with an all DS all the time booth..."
'They're' means 'they are' 'their' means to belong to them. Make sure you're (not your!) right before you correct someone next time.
Skid @ Aug 27th 2006 3:32PM
No way, it's definately damnit, ya silly melon
Craig @ Aug 27th 2006 9:32PM

I really like those dual screen lcd displays! It's a nice feature, especially when looking over someone else's shoulder in a crowded convention room, trying to see what the video game is like.

What would make even more sense is to be using a GameCube/Game Boy Player with a Game Boy micro as the controller (they do have micro-GCN cables, right?)... they can use actual Game Boy hardware, but on whatever size screen they want.
