Cool Tech PC's Nexus Psile HTPC
We know it's been a long time since you've been without the Cube (yeah, the one in New York so doesn't count), and thus the micro-square computer cottage industry marches on with Cool Tech PC's new Nexus Psile (which we're hoping isn't pronounced pissile -- like missile). There's not a whole lot out of the ordinary here for a $1,600 HTPC: you've got your Core Duo and Core 2 Duo options, 350 or 500GB drive options, DVD burner, TV tuner, and Windows Media center, etc. Apparently you can even order your own skins for customizing your Psile, but we're not sure anyone will ever be able to do a decent simulation of cracked, splitting acrylic.

The Psile is an under estimated PC. It is quite PC and is made from quality parts. It is a silent PC. It has insularion material on the casing. Don't know the exact details but if I were you I would check out Nexus Psiles site and this other site I found below. Here's more info;

yeah yeah... my two cubes do not crack or split so there, but they do have a strange spidery quality to the plastic..mmm. 'mac cubes rule o.k
That's not cool. At all.
That's a pretty cool mini pc.
Can we establish some kind of moratorium on referring to non-square computers as "cubes"? We have a perfectly good word for shapes which are not square on all sides -- "box."
I'm trying to think of a way to pronounce "Psile" that doesn't sound degrading. "Pee-syle?" "Pee-sill?" Pissile sounds as good as anything.
What were they thinking?
Its prob pronounced "s-aisle" (s sound, then the word aisle). like pshyic, its not p-shh-yic, the p and s blend together.
I seriously like this. Now... if only it were silent perhaps?
Actually it's possible to make it silent, albeit not with Core 2 Duo. It's actually available as a mini-itx case only type deal so you could easily stick one of the passive Epia boards in there.
They just worked a bit more on design than http://www.cooltechpc.com/c/ctpc/std/sku=mce_am2_cube.html?id=BbIqqJDi
Because nowadays people buy what is cool and what they see is cool, as well as what they think is ....
