TrekStor announces P!nk-branded i.Beat DAP
Looks like Sony's not the only one getting a little P!nk-branded merchandise, with German manufacturer TrekStor (they of the $20,000 DAP) now following Sony's lead and announcing an equally "P!nk" i.Beat digital audio player. Available in 1GB and 2GB varieties, the player packs the usual specs for a device in this range, with a 1.7-inch display, support for MP3, WMA, and WAV audio (including WMA-DRM9), FM tuner, voice and FM recording, as well as playback of the relatively uncommon SMV video format. If the all pink look's not your style, this i.Beat's also available in the more subtle option of black with pink LEDs; each measures 1.45 x 3.15 x 0.35 inches and weighs in at just over an ounce. Look for them to hit towards the end of the month at €99.00 for the 1GB and €129.99 for the 2GB ($126 and $165), with each model coming bundled with a pair of Sennheiser headphones.

Can someone explain to me why this is happening? I thought Pink was a one-hit-wonder (emphasis on the "wonder" portion).

We are particularly proud to have teamed up with mega-star P!nk who is currently on tour in Germany and meanwhile a true celebrity here to present this really trendy player, says Daniel Szmigiel, CEO of TrekStor GmbH & Co. KG in Lorsch. Once again, we are able to offer our young, passionate rock music fans an MP3 player exactly tailored to their favorite star!

Trekstor = apparently big (based?) in Germany. Pink touring Germany. Pink big there. Pink product(s) released.
I particularly like this line in the press release:
"TrekStor, the leading manufacturer of high quality MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks..."
Leading is open to some creative interpretation, I'm sure. Par for the course for press releases, though.
What I dont understand is how Pink's punk mug is all over the place. NBC Sunday Night Football, Sony memory sticks preloaded with Pink music, a Pink MP3 player? I can't stand to look at this "singer," much less spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on electronics that bear her name/likeness.
Well someone's been hurting for cash lately.
Looks like a pink Nano. At least they (unlike everyone else) went with a diamond arrangment as opposed to a circle. Doesn't look too bad.
Pink has had 6 or so hits off two albums. Hardly a one hit wonder.
Six hits, really? Wow. I'm old. Big Country's still popular, right?
heh heh heh :: snicker :: I.Beat
Rebrand. DyneTels's Tuny 11. Wow...
Guess she sold out. How original.
guys, you can all denounce her all you want, but if you were getting paid the kind of money she is for putting her name on stuff, you would be doing the same thing. so quit your bitching like little 8 year old girls and grow up.
the key word is "Germany" guys~
Even though Pink is a one hit wonder in the U.S., she is,
apparently, a superstar in Europe.
and that's why all the P!nk branded madness happen in Europe,
not here in the states. so just chill.
Why is she a "super star" anywhere? Her "music" is horrible, it really doesn't deserve the title music.. More like.. "noise."
P!nk is not a "one hit wonder" anywhere. even in America she's had one #1 two in the top 5 another 3 in the top 10. 3 that made the top 20 and 1 that hit the top 40 and only three not to hit the top 40
i love u sooooo much p!nk ur the coolest person eva! and im not from europe ha ha your a big hit here in the US too no need to feel neglected because theres lots of us that love u 2 but u can do whatever u want just enjoy life.
