Thanko brings MP4 watch to market
With SolidAlliance too busy creepin' out the kids, who better than Thanko to bring the Shenzhen Adragon Digitek's MP4 watch to market? That's right, starting today in Japan, the 1GB model is all yours for ¥14,800 (about $125) or ¥18,800 (about $159) for the 2GB version. Besides playing videos on that eye-corrosive 1.5-inch, 128x128, 260k color display, this watch will also playback MP3/WMA files which can be easily transfered in USB storage mode and listened to over standard 2.5-mm headphones. Just remember, "MP4" players of Chinese origin does not mean support for MPEG-4 video. In fact, this watch appears to support AVI, MPEG and WMV video formats but only after conversion into wildly popular NXV. Still interested?

Will they ship to the US?

So they can put a TV into a watch and they can make MP3 players and video players as well as GPS and all of the other non-sense into watches. All I want is my freekin' Dick Tracy watch. And, no, I don't mean one of those huge, stupid looking 2.4ghz walkie talkie ones, I mean an actual cell phone built into the watch with speaker phone and all. Is there one out there?

I hope these make it over here. I saw an orange one that looks awesome. In orange, it's somehow even geekier...

ive got one, the novelty wears off after 5 mins.
but the time display is sweet!
you have to push and hold the menu button for 5 secs, and itll display the time for 5 secs.
if they got rid of the time limit, id keep mine. but after 3days of owning one and no help from andalong. im ebaying mine.
all im asking for is for it to display the time a little longer!
there must be a way...........!

Just open a video or MP3 file and pause the playback. after a few seconds it goes to the time display as like a screensaver. as long as you don't press play or the volume buttons it stays on the time display constantly that way

There is a need of an MP3 + FM watch for use at the gym. People (me) keep leaving small MP3 players behind all the time, but if it's on your writs...problem solved.

I picked one up from online the 2gb version for $90. After looking at the menus and stuff, they are the same watch, this one is just un-branded.

I recently ordered one of those, as well as a stand alone divx 3.5" enclosure and a USB HDTV OTA tuner, the total was about $190 + $30 shipping from China. I will e-mail individuals the website address. So you know, the 2 GB version of the watch ran me $90. It's truly a wholesaler but they will send/sell "samples"
