The 2006 Engadget Awards: Nominate the Tablet PC of the Year

Nominating is easy, here's how you do it:
- Leave a comment as you normally would with what you're nominating for this category (remember, comments must be validated!).
- Don't include your reasons for nominating it or any of that stuff, just leaving the name is fine.
- Limit your nominations only to devices that were introduced and sold for the first time in 2006 (which means no concept devices or prototypes, although we will allow updated versions of previous products).
- Nominations only need be made once to be in the running, so make a quick scan to see if someone's already beat you to your suggestion (i.e., don't nominate anything more than once!).
- We will round up the best selections, and put them to the popular vote.

I don't know if a UMPC would be considered a tablet, but the Asus R2H was a decent ripple in a big pond.

I'll second the vote for the Fujitsu P1610. It's extremely portable like the UMPC class of Tablets, yet has a usable keyboard, PC Card slot, is Vista-capable and offers palm-rejection technology that assures there's no vectoring when using the touchscreen.

The X60t has abyssmal battery life. The P1610 is small but can get the job done far better. And, unless you're fat or your hands are just big, the keyboard isn't that hard to use.

This one might be pushing it because the "First Look" post tabletpcreviewspot.com had on it was dated Dec. 30, 2005 so I don't know if that would qualify for 2006.
