PCN readying colorful line of PlayStation 3s
We all know how difficult (and hazardous) it was to locate an oh-so-coveted PlayStation 3 during the launch mayhem, and while things have calmed down somewhat, just happening upon Sony's latest console isn't likely for quite some time. If you're dead set on forking out $eBay for a fresh new PS3, you might as well get something that hardly anyone else has, right? The same folks who delivered that snow white PS3 console just a few days back have quickly realized the goldmine they've struck, and as Colorware is to iPods, MacBooks, etc., PCN is becoming to PlayStation 3s. The paint-wielding gurus are already gearing up to post a shiny red unit up for sale in the coming days, with a silver edition to follow suit, and while we can't be for certain, it seems they just might keep kicking out colored PS3s until the lucrative market dies down. So if you're interested in picking up one of these uber-limited units, be sure to hit the read link and keep an eye out for sale dates.

That's hot. I wanna one...
looks like its the time of the month if you know what i mean
"...just happening upon Sony's latest console isn't likely for quite some time."
Are you kidding? I've walked into a Best Buy and a Target on a normal afternoon to see each had 2 or 3 in stock.
The Wii, or course, were sold out.
(do you say Wii [plural] as "Wii"? Like "deer"??)
Same here. There's about 3 or 4 PS3's left in the nearby stores.
For plural info: http://gonintendo.com/?p=7288
Apparently, NoA prefers Wii systems or Wii consoles. Sounds better than saying "some Wii" or "three Wii".
BestBuy.com has had the PS3 available (no bundles, just the console) for 1 1/2 days now, and they are still not sold out. So no, they are not hard to find.
how much did the white ones go for?
Don't they void the warranty because they take it apart to paint it?
3 stores have 5 or more here
They had 5 PS3s at my local Wal Mart when I went today.
A painted electronic device? o-m-crap that's great.
Maybe I can buy a few Wii systems, paint them, and then make extra bucks reselling them because they were featured on engadget.
Just went to bestbuy and target. Bestbuy had 1 60 GB and so did target. Target also had a couple 20s
This red finish looks kinda cool though... =?
oh no, I mustn't encourage them..
I went to the bestbuy near my house and saw some treos on sale. While we're at it, I also some some canon cameras, xm radios and even some dvds.
geez, enough with the "ps3-seen" alert. We know it has been launched so we know they are out there. You spotting it in idaho doesnt mean it is in my bestbuy right now.
Yeah enough bashing on the Dreamcas-I mean PS3 already!
LOL@ Idaho.
I went into a best buy the other day, they had 25 ps3s (60gb) in a pallet-pile in the middle of the store.
When i went into wal-mart today they had 6 60GB PS3s, and the Gamestop nearby had 9 PS3s (Although i dont remember how many of each one, but i know they had both, Wal-mart only had the 60GB)
BTW i was in the store with my friend who was buying the last Xbox 360 :P No joke lol. I really wish they would drop the price of a PS3, i would totally buy one if they did.
I know my store had 3 PS3's, we've had them for a couple of days and have only sold one. I know Best Buy and Gamestop both had some as well. This is at the Target in Denton in case anyone is curious. I know some of the other Targets in the area aren't sold out either...so I would say they're somewhat easy to come by.
i went to best buy and target yesterday and they had 50 ps2!!!!!!
how much did the white one go for?
Look it's a barn!
that looks pretty
Can't wait to see the look-alikes that come up because of this...
I went to 2 different stores last night and they had PS3s sitting on the shelves... people arent buying them anymore... in fact both stores has signs as well trying to let people know they had them... and people still arent buying them....
the Wii OTOH is friggin impossible to find... :(
LOL
