Video: Medion's UMPC
We've started seeing UMPCs crop up everywhere. At Via's booth at ShowStoppers, there were about seven different UMPCs, but the Medion caught our eye. We hear from some other folks it's got pretty good battery life for a UMPC, and you should be able to get it in your own hands for under ten benjamins. After we stopped by Intel's booth to give it a more thorough run through, the keyboard was frankly crap, so caveat emptor. Download it below, or watch the usual flash video above.

what do you mean by keyboard is crap? does that just mean it's really small or feels like it could break easily? how does it compare to the oqo2? what are the other 6 models they're showing? i'm interested in possibly getting a umpc with the slideout keyboard. current computer is over 3 years old, i plan on doing a lot of traveling doing human rights work, so umpc with docking station is ideal. since i'm still in school and have lots of tuition debt price is important to and seeing this under 1k and supposed good battery life makes me want more details. i know avertec is supposed to be soon coming out with something similar - anyone seen anything on that at ces?
Here is a good set of UMPC Pictures from the latest Intel IDF: http://p6.hostingprod.com/@ricardosblog.com/blog/2006/09/umpc_vw_car_demonstrated_at_idf.html
This makes me want to sell my beloved Sammy Q1 - I am lovin that keyboard. Vistaliciuos too baby! Bring em on...
I'm selling nothing....UMPC's battery is just too crappy~! I'm waiting until fuel cells are included on it!
Why is this thing not turned on? What a lame demo.
I prefer UMPC with no silly thumb keyboard, but an additional full size keyboard. I have the bluetooth Stowaway and its awesome. And is it me or does this Medion lack a touchscreen? I'm got confused because of the little touchpad the guy pointed to.
mp4 download link doesn't seem to work...

So where are the rest of the vistagamis that were supposed to be unveiled at CES?
Everything is coming out in Europe first it seems.
