Suzuki Flix concept combines home theater and car -- your den is jealous

With an illegal seating configuration and that weird hump up top, we're fairly confident this Suzuki Flix concept car that was recently shown at the Detroit Auto Show won't be parked in your driveway anytime soon, but it's fun to look at all the same. Just like its SXBox cousin, the Suzuki Flix crams excessive entertainment hardware into an almost-believable vehicle configuration, but we're not positive the Flix quite pulls it off. That viewing angle through the pop-open roof looks crazy awkward, and the projector-housing hump kind of ruins the whole "theater in disguise" thing Suzuki has going on. Still, we're not going to deny the movie geek cred here, and those chairs look pretty tight, no matter what the DOT might think.

Soooo LAME. People will laugh at this like we laugh at some of the stupid concepts from the 1950's. Maybe the should focus on making cars SAFER ?

Eh. Looks and features, as well as safety, will always be selling points for private transportation. Lots of different markets.

Plus, there's a limit to how safe you can make a 1000lb+ inertia ram traveling anywhere from 0-70(legally), hitting another one doing the same thing.

This makes me angry, like "lo-carb A-1 Sauce" when I saw it in the grocery store. Such a foul idea as to enrage. I guess if I didn't mind looking skyward at an 80-degree angle it wouldn't be so bad. But the seats. They are quite obviously unable to tilt. In an entire gallery of pictures, not one with this horrid waste of time actually in use. Next.

That does look awesome. Would be better if the screen could tilt forward for a better viewing angle. I'm loving the cinema style floor lights. ;)

I think the car looks nice. That is, without all the bulges and humps, and the do-dads sticking out. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this car was homer's car design. The designers are sure to get a similar reaction to homer when they present this car at a car show.

To get consumer reactions to features included in that concept. If enough people respond well to a certain thing, you can bet you'll see it in a future vehicle.

i love this car it might not be that practica but it is on the market contact susuki and they said that they will make you one but the price aint preatty. if anythin it looks awsome but the whole idea of in car entertainment has been taken to the next level with a 40" screed on th roof it has all the making of a fat lazy american society it ace man lets not buy houses lets just all buy susuki flix its got all we need except a fridege susuki rules the motering world for now but who will be next who will take this ide to the next level lets make a all in one car the lot thats the next leavel live it in a susuki flix love it.
