Camelbak teams with Skullcandy on speaker-packed Hellion hydration pack
Joining the growing array of wintry kit suited to help your day at the slopes be a bit more like you never left your AV center, the Camelbak Hellion SC delivers a hydration pack, gear compartments, and few electronics to boot. The brand best know for its wide variety of liquid-toting backpacks has teamed up with Skullcandy on its latest offering, and while the whole color / design scheme is a bit too flamboyant for our tastes, the spec list isn't half bad. Aside from all the random pockets for your keys, gloves, Cheetos, and deodorant, you'll find a 100-ounce sack to keep your Kool-Aid chilled as well as a battery-powered LINK system that pipes audio from any 3.5-millieter audio out jack into the integrated speakers. Sadly, there doesn't appear to be any Bluetooth connectivity or a way to dictate anything other than volume from the strap-mounted "soft touch panel," but boarders that don't already have DAP access on their helmet, coat, or beanie can snap this up right now for just under $250.[Via Talk2MyShirt]

I have one of these back packs, and yes it is Awesome, i use it mountain bike riding, jogging, hiking and when winter comes... snow boarding.
so many pockets, so many functions, the only bad points are..
the low quality wiring used to connect th ipod to the link system, it became frayed internally and as i bought it overseas.. no warrenty, so i removed it and replaced it with better quality wire, works great now.
when riding bikes on rough terrain the ipod gets rattled around and eventully skips, i cant see that being terribly good for the ipod so trying to stick to not so rough stuff when the ipod is in tow. not really the bags fault but somthing to know about.
makes a funny static noise when you turn it on... doesnt seem to be a bad thing though, just odd.
but its a kick arse bag, the volume on it is amazing for such a little thing but the sound doesnt spread out and annoy other people.
Peace.
Saw these bags at CES and they were pretty cool if you're a snowboarder or hiker that still wants to be connected to your gadgets. Here's a video of a Skullcandy rep showing off a similar model-

thats insane. Im actually considering buying one. I mountain bike and snowboard a lot, and have plenty of other uses for it too
This has US Military written all over it. Camelbak "canteens" are very popular with the forces and by the looks of it, this thing will be an instant hit with our fighting men.
