Philips X55P ultraportable sports pink lid, vies for your heart
Alright fellas, we understand that not everyone has the means to lay down a few hundred grand on a heart-emblazed laptop for their SO, but if you're looking to pick up a little pink computing action to make someone's day tomorrow, here's yet another (affordable) option. The Philips X55P doesn't quite rock the firm's 20.1-inch LCD we've been hearing about, as this ultraportable opts for a 12.1-inch WXGA rendition instead, and also packs a 1.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 100GB hard drive, dual-layer DVD burner, Intel's GMA 950 integrated graphics set, and Windows Vista Home pre-installed. Additionally, you'll find a 56k modem, FireWire, Ethernet, a trio of USB connectors, four hour Li-ion battery, and the obligatory pink lid to fit the occasion. So if you've somehow missed out on the bevy of other pink lappies that have come before, or you just want that warm, fuzzy feeling of having Vista already loaded in, you can snag the X55P now for £649.99 ($1,270).[Via ShinyShiny]

Err... A pink laptop! Definitely not on my shopping list.
In time for St. Valentines day!
Pink - I can live with.
Vista - I'd die of embarrassment.
anyone know if its available in the u.s.? only see uk sites.
This is distributed by Dixon's group, which includes PC City. I tried to get one 2 weeks ago but it was sold out in 2 stores (and all the others in Spain) including the grey version. The guy told me they would have them soon with Vista. So I suppose this is the new one ? (exact same spec as the old one)
