It's all here at Sony's site: http://news.sel.sony.com/en/assets/OpenHouse2007_LasVegas/index.html
i dont want to be total anti-Sony here, but i thought last year, Sony said they were gonna stop making new HDTVs, just like they did with their MP3 players, soon because of not earning enough money from HDTVs?
i also thought that Sony was gonna push away from making media products for a while *except Blu-ray players* because of the same thing.
correct me if u guys must, but that's what i heard from engadget.com a long time ago.
Has Sony not yet realized that having so many half-way products affects branding?
Who can list all the Sony cameras in production today (not to mention the subtle differences between them)?
Actually, Sony has been 1 or 2 in non-DSLR cameras for the past few years. Not only that, they sell their CCDs and now CMOS imaging chips to a lot of their competitors. And, they are the most profitable hdtv manufacturer in 2006.
So, there you go.
Sony wants nothing more then to spew proprietary products on the consumer. I have bought ZERO Sony products since 1998. Maybe they will get the message. Remember the rootkit fiasco with their cd DRM?
I doubt anyone has forgotten about rootkit. I won't even rent DVD's that smell of sony DRM. Sony's rep is in the tank and they don't seem to be doing anything to bring back customers. They peaked with the PS2 and the PS3 will be the coup de gras.
