Amex's TSP-VS501 dual-mode DECT handset for Skype
Oh lordy, can it be... a decently designed Skype handset? In a sea of craplastic Skype phones, up washes the sleek TSP-VS501 Skype handset with touch-sensitive keys. Better yet, this dual-mode phone from Amex Digital also works with your regular ol' PSTN home line. Just connect the telephone line and computer (via USB) to the included base station and you're good-to-go just as far as the DECT cordless handset will take you -- in other words, about 150 feet indoors. The handset packs everything you need for making and receiving traditional analog or Skype calls including your Skype buddy list showing current availability. No pricing or availability but we'll be sure to check it while on display at CeBIT in just a few weeks.

Enough with Skype already!
They droppped the ball a couple of months ago when they announced connection charges on all of their call (yes, even for their unlimited Skype Prop plans).
That plus the fact that their rates are not even closely competitive with other Voip Providers makes them a less then obvious choice to save money at home or work.
To Manufacturers: can we please have these same phones but with a firmware that supports SIP with STUN?
I just used Skype Out duing a 2 week trip in Asia and I was surprised that the call quality is improving.
I still want a decent WiFi Skype phone with a browser. Linskys, Netgear and Belkins don't have this.....
The Nokia Aeon and Amex's TSP-VS501... separated at birth?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, that case looks exactly like the Nokia Aeon just rotated 180 degrees, and of course Aeon is much cooler than this.
As soon as I saw the image I immediately thought Aeon!
I guess if your gonna copy anything, it might as well be something that looks good.
Actually that phone has a very similar form factor to cordless phones that AT&T sells on its shopSBC.com site.
Theres a phone by... Olympus or Audioline or some other cheap company that looks pretty much the same, except for the silver skype thing...
Unfortunately the materials feel cheap on that thing.
