If there's one thing the world can't have enough of, it's certainly
food compassion iPod peripherals Wiimote dock-cum-charging-stations (battery usually included). We've already seen these hot products range from $25 for Thrustmaster's
T-Charge NW to $30 for Nyko's
Wii Charge Station to $39 for JoyTech's
Wii PowerStation, so the $17 Brando's asking for its no frills Wii Charger Stand should come as good news to the cheap gamer in all of us. Other than the low price, however, not much stands here: you get an extra battery -- unlike the Joytech and Nyko models, which each give you two additional packs plus two slots for charging -- and cradle which glows a shade of red that's sure to drive you mad. So if you're short on cash or do most of your gaming solo -- hey, nothing wrong with that -- this could be the dock / battery combo that you've been pining for.

Any idea on the battery life?

Please don't use international-english. 'Come' not 'cum'.
Mike @ Mar 7th 2007 4:25AM
cum: Together with; plus. Often used in combination: our attic-cum-studio.
there's nothing wrong with how he used it

Ok you're right. It's Latin. I was just hoping this site wasn't going to use International-English which is awful.

"international-english"? and what exactly does that mean? let me guess... your american right? inventor of the english language...
doninside @ Mar 7th 2007 7:04AM
usb charger? can it be plugged into the rear usb ports of the wii?
David B @ Mar 7th 2007 9:18AM
Looks cool, but the clearance seems pretty tight on the cradle. It doesn't look like the wii-remote would fit if you had one of those protective covers on.
Peter Griffin @ Mar 7th 2007 10:09AM
dock-cum-charging-station. Hahahaha. Cum.
Michael @ Mar 7th 2007 10:12AM
@David B:
You're right, the covers would probably keep it from fitting.
Those covers are GOD-AWFUL though. Oh sure, they're nice and keep your Wiimote from getting sweat-covered....but try to play VC games with one. I had to before I could find classic controllers in stock at a store, and subsequently out-raced some other teenager to the stand. I felt pretty bad about it...for about five minutes.
Anyway, when it comes to actually replacing the batteries, I seem to be inept at -removing- said Wiimote Cover. I've ripped three of them =(. So for #4, I figured i'd be smart and actually -cut- a slot/hole/whatever to make the battery compartment accessible.
Bad idea. I couldn't get the cover to 'stick' to the Wiimote, so it would flap about.
Now I don't use the covers anymore. I'm sure they're fine for most of you, but I hate the derned things. XD

this looks like it should be filed under dildonics.
BatteryAcid @ Mar 7th 2007 4:40PM

"your american right?"
Well, I'm American, and I spotted your misspelling of the contraction "you're".

How do I get one of those impossible reflective surfaces? The ones that can reflect surfaces not facing it...
Glenn @ Mar 9th 2007 1:24PM
Umm, a mirror? Think of it like ray tracing. Draw a line from your eye to the reflection. Guess what it does there, deflects at an angle to the object being reflected.
