PS3 or beer? Microsoft poses the ultimate question

While we might've put down a few of Microsoft's last night Europe exploits as a tad immature, we aren't going to deny the genius here: Microsoft's message to gamers is that the PS3 = the Xbox 360 + £146 in beer money. Of course, such a mental exercise is nothing without a bit of illustration, so Microsoft carted in just that much beer to the offices of the UK's CVG magazine (above) and Auckland, NZ's GamePlanet store (pictured after the break). Naturally, Sony will have the last laugh when its utterly sober fanboys use keen rhetoric to destroy their tipsy MS fanboy opponents in the comments section following this post.

lol, dang... lets see xbox360 minus the wifi, hd-dvd player, hdmi, 40gigs, compatability with usb/bluetooth mouse n keyboard and a whole lotta other stuff = ps3+ £146 in your pocket.

@n.p. - I thought you knew that all beer is made in Canada. That's why we're so polite and good-natured - we have plenty of beer from around the world! Mmmm... Sapporo/Bass/Rickard's Red/Fin du Monde/Stella (not in order of preference - Bass FTW).

Sorry... but almost nothing from Microsoft is as good as it should. Even when it's good, there's some utter disapointment hidden somewhere in the code - and you WILL find out in the worst time possible. And I'm not essentially "anti-M$", I just studied and figured it out. So, yeah, great idea for an Ad, but PS3 surely makes up for the beer!

(Save some penny for the wine though)

From what I know of Aussies and Fosters, I'd say it's PS3 all the way baby.

However, when I consider how much them Aussies like to drink even the shittiest of beers, the 360 starts to take the center stage...

So what microsoft is saying is..that you need to consume all that beer in order to make a bad decision..that being, buying the Xbox360! Clever. When keeping a leveled head and staying grounded.You make a better choice and purchase the PS3..And it only took 1 tall boy for that one..sweet!..seriously speaking..Who are they kidding?! I got a junkbox 360..scuse me..I mean Xbox 360 that had lil memory and no HD DVD(sold seperately for 200)..outta pure desperation! Only bc I could not find a PS3. And that thing didn't even last 2 weeks. and it was as loud as a dang vacuum cleaner.BTW 360 had time to work out the kinks but couldnt a year later. Anyway, so I return it back to the store..And it was like I walked into the light.No sooner than I stepped inside there was a sign..YES WE HAVE PS3's, thats what it read! thank goodness for the defective 360. I took that bad boy to the counter and left with my baby (PS3)! ANd I just want to apologize for deceiving Sony! Because I have never been an xbox fan! I was deaperate! and ya'll left me no choice... but I am glad I have my PS3 now!
