Wii Loop Machine utilizes Wiimote to manipulate beats
It takes a certain level of determination and creativity to shun the smorgasbord of other music-related Wii mods already out there, and to be quite honest, the Wii Loop Machine does a fair job of putting the other alternatives to shame. Taking full advantage of the Wiimote's ability to be used at will with a Bluetooth receiver and the right coding, the music manipulation software allows beat lovers to scroll through loops, twist up the jams, drop the bass, toss in a delay, and pretty much hack up the tunes at will with a combination of button mashes and Wiimote slinging. Currently, the software is only compatible with OS X, but the creator is definitely interested in your contact information if you can port this stuff over on the Windows side of life. So if you've already got a home-based studio set up, and your Mac just isn't getting enough love, be sure to hit the read link and check out the deets, or click on through if you're yearning for lesson in geekified mixing.

You guys are just way to Wii happy.
Anything involving a Wii-mote is a news story.
Kind of stupid.

After a night of drunken Wii Sports, I am convinced alcohol was the sole reason for the inclusion of the wrist strap.

Am I the only one seeing the cash cow and increased market penetration (as if they don't have enough already) Nintendo could create with something like this????
Nintendo should drop what they are doing and sign this guy to an exclusive development deal. This could be one of the killer apps for the Wii (I do own one, BTW so I'm not just blowing smoke). It fits in with their overall concept started with Wii Sports.
I can see it now, you throw a party and up to four people could be instant groove meisters at your next house jam. Nintendo could sponsor a mix party/contest with top DJs to kick off the launch. Then, one of the Wii channels could be for downloading/listening to WiiJ's (yes, you heard it here first) from across the globe. Tune in the channel at your next party and just let it play. Kaching!
Another example of making the Wii stand completely apart from any other gaming console ever created.
(So you don't think I'm a total Wii fanboy, I own a PS2, a PSP, a GBA along with my Wii. My Wii has been gathering dust lately since I got it at launch because they have still yet to release anything I am remotely interested in playing besides Wii Sports. I probably wouldn't pick this up for myself honestly (not that interested in creating music), but I bet a whole lot of people would.)
