Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I finally got a new laptop with a lone USB 3.0 port. I'm now looking at getting a USB 3.0 hub with a power adapter so I can use both of my USB 3.0 hard drives at faster speeds. I've read lots of horror stories where some hubs either don't come with power adapters -- and as a consequence the portable drives don't work with them properly -- or they are designed poorly which results in USB 2.0 speeds. Or, the hard drives keep getting disconnected. Do your readers have any suggestions or experience using USB 3.0 hubs? Thanks!"
Actually, I got one of these to replace my sister's MP3 player, I didn't notice any price difference between colors though, unless you're comparing the 2 GB version to the cheaper 1GB version.
Also, for those who say don't get the extended warranty on anything, you're dumb as hell. Over the past two years I've upgraded her from a battery powered 512MB that did nothing else, to this Red Sansa C250 which is USB rechargable, shows pictures, has an FM tuner which can be used to make recordings off of that FM tuner, and also has expandable storage via MicroSD. On top of that, the Sansa was about $20 cheaper than that original MP3 player 2 years ago, which I put towards another extended warranty which allows me to do this all over again if this thing ever breaks down over the next 2 years.
