More shots after the break!
How much??? People have been asking, but no one seems to know.
Be patient.. New designs will be revealed end of june
Anyone know the date it will be released?
I agree with those who say Dell is mocking the term 'ultra-portable.' Why can't we convince them to stick a 2 GHz processor in a model like the D420? Make something robust that's 3 lbs or less.
This is sexy, definitely would consider getting one as a next laptop if the price is right. I considered the lattitudes before picking up a macbook pro, and before it just never seemed the build quality was up to snuff. They seemed reliable component wise, but all the ones i saw had extremely loose screen hinges after a year, and simply slowed down a lot as non-techie owned wintel machines tend to do. I love my mbp core duo (first mac) and while its not perfect, the quality feels pretty solid. And its sexy, or at least it would be if it didn't pick up smudges so damn easily.
As for all the fanboyism on both sides, it seems kind of stupid. Just look at something weigh the pros and cons and decide whats best for you. If the benefits of a virus free/ more stable OS outweigh the flexibility and price/performance ratio difference you could get from a wintel machine, then go for it, but while I feel macs are quality products, theyre not sent from god ad have they're flaws also
I work at a Dell Kiosk and can't wait to actually get my hands on this one to see what it can really do
12" is too small, 14" is big.. 13 is justttt nice. I tot of waiting for Mac Pro 12" but if this comes out first I'll take it. ;)
This is good although it look like the "old" Sony. The specs r great, hope it won't cost as much as Sony I be getting one as well.
It feels good to be wrong; really, really, really good. Dell may give Apple a run-for-the-money. Dell supports Ubuntu -- and RHEL, so everyone wins.
I do think that Dell should make a MID in 2008, I love Dell durability. Ubuntu will be making a OS for the MID, and I would love to see a Dell MID. We all know the URL:

I hope to be wrong more the the future!

I wonder how this baby will handle SecondLife? Looking for a portable gamer, comparing against Sony SZ, Asus A8/F3 or Lenovo X61
So how much is everyone thinking this may come in? I'm not good at judging prices in laptops of this segment. Hope it comes out in Canada sooner than later after US launch date.
