WWDC07 keynote transcript leaked? We think not.
Rabid seems to be the norm today, not the exception. Funny, considering the fact that not too many groundbreaking announcements are expected for today's Steve Jobs keynote, just a general re-commitment to the Mac platform and a few Leopard and iPhone surprises. Maybe a couple new iMacs and some Google / .Mac love, but even that's stretching it. So what's a fanboy to do with such paltry news? Make some up, of course! Recently "leaked" through some German sources, a keynote "transcript" has already made it out onto the internets, promising the aforementioned announcements, along with an iPhone "secret feature" of iWork, iLife and .Mac integration. The real kicker, and the near certain clincher of this report's fallacy, is the "one more thing" announcement. As if that line wasn't played enough as it is, the transcript unveils the iPhone@home, which features a 10-inch multitouch screen, 30GB of flash memory (?!?), 8 hours of battery, "no connections except dock connector," integrated iSight, iChat... you know, every fanboy's dream in a nutshell. Yeah, we're not holding our breath.

Well I heard they were coming out with a 30" iMac with a multi-touchscreen. Its supposed to be just like the Wacom Cintiq only with OSX installed.

Those silly Germans. Still using their Hitler-esque tactical deception I see..

Can we wait till Bush is out of office before the decades-old Hitler jokes?

I think Bush is more like Stalin than Hitler.

So much digital ink has already been spilled on this obviously-fake Teutonic gibberish. Why even dignify it with notice?

a "one more thing" announcement that would really surprise me, would be if new iMacs (and/or monitors) were released with built-in TV tuners. it sould surprise me mostly because it's probably not gonna happen, but it would be one awesome way to combine everything all our entertainment into a single device, álá the "Digital Hub"

Geez... What's up with all these commotions? I mean, it's fun and all, and it _is_ WWDC, but in two hours, we're going to know all about it.

THIS JUST IN!
There was a mixup in the translation of the transcripts. Insted of iPhone@home, the correct translation is iFolding@home. This is in fact Steve's initative to have all the developers with the octocore Mac Pro's donate their spare CPU cycles to Apple's folding@home team!
In other news, apple stock just jumped another $100 per share...

The thing is that I'm pretty sure that Steve Jobs doesn't write out his speeches. They would like him to, but he doesn't so I wouldn't expect it to be true. Also, I don't think that Apple would come up with a name like iPhone@home, just doesn't seem like them. And why would it be an iPhone if it's at home.

is engadget owned by apple? why always the excitement and promotion of apple? wow!
one device has success, and people are this crazy over the brand? 98% of the planet has an average to below average IQ (intelligence quotient for the below average) 98% of mp3 players on the planet are Ipods, hmm, the correlation?! ipod has always offered less than Archos, it must be the idiot buttons, low IQ's can handle only a few buttons
Tom @ Jun 11th 2007 8:58PM
i'm sorry, but you're a fucking idiot. anywhere you see the word "average" means that exactly 50% of people are above it, and 50% of people are below it. that's why it's an average.
i find it hilarious you had to point out to people what IQ stood for when you clearly have none yourself. i would also argue that ipod does not have 98% market share.
i hope your iq and ego handled this post well.

Man tend to hide his ignorance by using numbers, as if he knows everything under the sun.
It may be a good learning strategy for you to start counting the number of your hairs and tell the world about it.
May be, (just may be) you can convince the so called below average IQ.

you are so wise. thank you for helping me onto the right path.
