Fujitsu's P7230: now in pink with Core Duo ULV
Fujitsu looks to be trying to get as much out of its P7230 ultraportable as possible, with the company now offering a bit more choice in the processor department, along with a new limited edition pink model for those tired of the standard un-colorful fare. Somewhat curiously, the most the pink model gets is a Core Duo U1400 Ultra Low Voltage processor, while the standard black model now tops out at a Core Duo U2500 ULV. Otherwise, the two boast mostly similar specs, including a 10.6-inch display, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, 1GB of RAM, and a max 80GB hard drive (though not more than 60GB on the pink model). Each also have the same $1,599 starting price, with the top-end U2500-based model running just over $2,000.

Like so many random laptops-of-the-week this one seems to be designed for people with short left arms. Or longer right arms anyway.

I was just about to say that! It's all well and good having good specs, but if you have to sit at the side of it to type then what's the use?

Damnit! I bought mine a few months ago with only the core solo. Damnit!

I need one of those 120GB 1.8" Samsung drives to stick in this sucker.

Fujitsu needs to hire a photographer who will spend 30 seconds setting up a shot which doesn't make the lid look bent. How many beauty shots does a product get?

Reason I don't buy Sony subnotebooks; this takes a standard 2.5" drive. So, if you recently visited Bless Computers in Akihabara you can stuff 160gb of 7200 RPM goodness in the thing.
As to the specific notebook; *yawn*. Asus S6 offered all that and more over a year ago. Fujitsu was my #1 choice for subnotebooks until Asus rolled out the S6. I haven't looked back since and my 7230 sits collecting dust. I kept it just in case the Asus proved to be junk. Time to sell it methinks. ;)

pink is so the new white

WRONG.
The P7230 also only takes 1.8" hard drives, as did its predecessor the P7120. The P7010 and P5000 series did use 2.5" hard drives though.
Why didn't they use Core 2 Duo ULVs in this like the Vaio TZ?

"Why didn't they use Core 2 Duo ULVs in this like the Vaio TZ?"
Biggest Reasons:
Cost
Availability
That's the best I can come up with
