It's been a long time coming, but the much-vaunted
OLPC XO is now slowly making its way to the people it was meant for, recently landing in the hands of
160 school children in Uruguay, and now finding its way to the Galadima Primary School in Abuja, Nigeria. According the News Agency of Nigeria, the school got some 300 OLPCs but is having a slight problem keeping them powered, as the school has no electricity and power at the students' homes is irregular (still no
pull-string, it seems). Despite that setback, the students are apparently "very happy" with the laptop, although we're sure they'll be even more pleased when they discover some of the OLPC's
non-educational potential.
Now we will get Nigerian prince scam spam coming from Nigeria!
Nigerian scam? Is that all you could muster...some pitiful shallow comment on spam? If you have you been following the news on Nigeria lately you would have known there is more to Nigeria than spams and scams. Have you ever wondered why some gullible and greedy folks still fall victims to these over-used tricks?
Nooooooooooooo!
These will probably find their way into the hands of more Nigerian eBay scammers.........
Why is there a Windows logo superimposed on that screen?
Its only an illusion.......
(Quick, they're onto us!!!!)
good to know..
I'm sure these won't end up in some corrupts hands (Mr. Eko?)
Racists!!!
No - they want to teach the kids the 419 scam in the 4th grade. That way when they come to the US to scam more, they won't be sent to prison ;)
300 more reasons why not to buy or sell things on ebay now

Yes, someone might take this opportunity say (shivers) something Politically Incorrect!
you guys are dicks...end of story.
Hey I thought the laptop had a hand crank where you could charge the sucker up.
i cant believe i am hearing such abymsmal racism! You short-sighted idiot. Do you not know America is number 1 in the world for Spam! Should we not just shut you down for the same reason. These are children using them, learning, being given the chance to make a contribution to global society. I look forward to the day that impoverished Africans make their way out of poverty through technology. Imagine the benifits to the world bringing these young thristy minds online! Imagine what we could accomplish and as a planet!
Idiot!
