A note on all the iPhone coverage
Yeah, we hear ya, we know some of you are sick of it. That's cool, exhaustive coverage of any gadget isn't for everybody, but instead of making a big fuss in comments why not enjoy this beautiful summer weekend? We're not skipping over other news to cover this iPhone stuff -- news is ALWAYS really slow on the weekends, and we've got a major product to cover the hell out of. Still, we'll try posting more stuff to mobile to cut down on the iPhone spam. Thanks for understanding!<3 Engadget

You guys do better than Gizmodo. At least you've been covering some other things in addition to the iPhone. I counted over 30 straight iPhone articles on Gizmodo. Absurd.
Ryan,
I love all the iPhone coverage and in fact yours is the best of everyone's. I followed it 20 times a day and still do and I learned more from you than any other blog or web site. Keep it up. People who say this is just a new phone are so out of it, it's pathetic. I am a a freak to the nth degree and this is one hell of a gadget. I've been surfing the web and doing e-mail all morning on it and have never seen this incredibly good experience on any other phone and I buy phones every 3 months almost. This thing is fantastic. The people who aren't into it should just skip over the posts.
Stop kow-towing to the haters, the M$ Fanboys and the paid blog spammers. Give us all the iPhone coverage that matters!
I am sick of the iPhone news, but I am more upset that Engadget has just become part of the Apple hype machine. Yes, its a phone, and Apple made it, but its JUST a PHONE. I have seen all the videos, yeah its nice, but at the end of the day, its still JUST a PHONE.
I bet if Motorola came out with a phone that cured cancer or ended world hunger, it would not get as much attention.
Steve Jobs has played the press and bloggers into this frenzy, by telling everyone "Oh, I'm not sure there will be enough to go around!". Over at ArsTechnica, they are reporting the piles and piles of extra iPhones that haven't been sold.
I am disappointed that Engadget has been Apple's tool in all of this by publishing all of this hype about it.
So yes, I am sick of the iPhone news, but not for the reasons you assumed.
$600 for a phone that will be obsolete in 6 months.......it's a free country.
For those complaining, then stop reading...for the others that would like to overload on info then read on.
I won't be purchasing the 1st gen of this phone, but will wait to see what 'new and improved' features come out in the next rev...
Finally a semi unveiling and use of the new mascot
FTW! lets see him getting some more coverage. Or at least acting as the Robin Leach, of the gadget world.
Now all that's left to ask, is where is the mascot merchandise mateys?
