iPhone sells out faster than an 80's rock star
Unless you live in or near Tigard, Oregon or Pittsburgh PA, chances are you'll be out of luck this morning if you're jonesin' for that quick retail fix of consumer crack called the iPhone -- Apple's retail locator lists the iPhone as unavailable for the rest of the nation. Sales have been so brisk in the first week that AT&T claims to have "sold more iPhones than in the first month of any other wireless phone AT&T ever offered. That's how good it's been." However, neither Apple nor AT&T have released any figures. Anecdotal evidence from readers who ordered on-line or at AT&T stores suggests that a replenishment might come as soon as Friday -- the date many hopefuls were told they'd receive shipment. Based on previous Analyst calculations, we're guessing that Apple has crossed the 1M unit mark. A milestone which surely garners some kind of Apple announcement. Oh, hey Apple, how 'bout clearing up all those rumors in Europe while you're at it? K, thanks.
Update: waitingforiphone claims to have a leaked memo from ATT Mobility claiming more than 1 million iPhone activations since launch.

Haha, Zune hasn't even sold a million in 6 months!
Sorry, but that's a really, really, really poor comparison and an even worse attempt at a Microsoft dig.
The differences between the two products (users, operating system, PLATFORM, marketing, price...) are so many and so obvious that...
Just let the big sales be what they are, and in the meantime go to your local community college and take a class in logic and reasoning.
@carlo
Seems similar to zuneboys talking about how their first-gen Zunes greatly outsold first-gen iPods, despite obvious differences in customer demand, technology, and year they were released.
Technically, Apple is marketing this as their next-gen iPod, and I should also note that many of your so-called differences are negligible, if not in favor of the Zune (the price of the iPhone is significantly higher, Zune does not carry a monthly service charge, Zune operates on Windows, which holds ~85% market share, meaning Apple only has about a 13% advantage in sales). That leaves marketing, which I promise you, despite Zune's horrible marketing scheme ("Welcome to the Social"), it was not the sole reason for its relative lack in sales.
I enjoyed your "let the sales be what they are" comment. It must suck to eat so much crow in just one week.
so...we have 1 million iLosers?
After that crack for activation process - many people goes to buy it from all of the world.
I want to buy it too, because I'm tired of the small display from my ipod video.
So, it's sold out and maybe you CAN'T GET it for MONTHS!
Yeah, I'm ready to spend $600 for it, as other millions people.
Don't you "I want a phone-less iPhone" people realize how irrational it is to spend $600 on a Phone and not use it for a phone?
Just wait, surely Apple will release a touch-screen 16:9 iPod with the same interface as the iPhone's iPod application.
And with a harddrive ... And 100GB of space ...
HaHa I live near Tigard, Oregon. Its like 15 minutes away. But I really dont want an iPhone. I kinda like my verizon service and the fast net speeds compared to AT&T.
People are spending up to $100,000 for these things on eBay! Well... ok to be fair that was for charity. Others selling for $700-$2000 and that will go up until Apple restocks- let the fun continue! Oh did I meantion I own AAPL and eBay stock? My Treo 700p is way less cool, but it gets me the info I need.
Besides, the Apple store in Tigard (Washington Square Mall) sucks.
Wow, 1 million in the first week? That would equate to roughly half a billion dollars in sales (and roughly $250 million in profit) in just one week.
I hope the demand keeps up!
What - do you own Apple Shares?
After producing 3 million phones, Apple's still in the hole. 250mil profit on the phones produced, but not an ounce of green considering the 3 mil production line for launch. The whole production operation cost roughly $750mil. They're probably very close to making a profit off of the hardware, though.
But, I must say I'm impressed that the iPhone has sold this well. I didn't think it'd hit the 1 million mark for another week. That's speculation for you!
a) Yes, I own shares!
b) There's no way they have millions of iPhones sitting around in a warehouse to create a manufactured shortage. My guess: Apple has sold out the initial production run.
Your forgetting the money spent on research and development.
The iphone has take up most of apples spending and development for about 5-6 months!
There was no doubt there were about 1 million or do idiotts/mactards that did not know there were smarphones out there that could do everything and more.
Actually the iphone kinda helped fuel that information and the present arguments about the iphone and their FALSE claims of innovation.
While the Diagram shows the stock of iphones dwinding quickly.... you should see the same with the demand for it. It should shrink just as quick.
The initial release of the i-tard phone would undoubtedly get all the sales from the drooling sheep out there, but for the rest of the smart people, they got normal phones or SMART phones as a smarter idea!
Shitheaded dogtard, read my reply on ZDnet. Those smartphones do not match the iPhone's features.
Pretty amazing... I've been loving mine but I do hope for some software updates to smooth things out and get some of the haters on board.
Lame, I have 3 ones I cant get rid of....

>Lame, I have 3 ones I cant get rid of....
Then you're not putting much effort into it. They're going for over $900 on ebay.
not that surprising since Apple has a habit of overly exciting its consumers (not that difficult a job since they are already over-hyped)
but truth be told, even though I wouldn't consider an iPhone for purchase myself, non-tech users are going to love this thing for its simplicity (ARE YOU LISTENING MOTOROLA, NOKIA, ETC...)
You are exactly right. The iPhone was not made for tech geeks or for the blackberry type. It was made for avg joe which is most of the USA. Most people wont even notice any of the things this site pointed out. and I know for a fact that they would sell more but the price is too high for avg joe. lol make a device for joe put a price for the enterprise class.
Brian here from Pittsburgh. If you happen to be jonesing for your iPhone fix, I can hook you up :-) Just kidding, but one just feels the need to gloat to be living in one of the two cities that survived the iPhone attack.
Yeah, it's great.
(fellow Pittsburgher)
Thid doesn't surprise me at all, they do what others missed, make a simple, powerful modern phone where you take the key-pad figures away.
I tried one out at a local apple store today and I kept accidentally clicking on so many things!! When typing, I accidentally typed space constantly, therefore creating gibberish words and the backspace was hard to hit for me. You MUST hover your thumbs they cannot rest anywhere on the phone while typing.
Also, I found when videos were at the end like someone before me had played them, when you select that video to play it just shows a black screen. you have to tap to bring the controls up, then click the back arrow to get to the beginning of the video.
One more thing, the pinch was really jumpy with me, when I'd pinch inward looking at cupertino, CA it jumped up and i ended up in San Fran, CA. Pinching in and out wasn't as smooth as I'd have hoped. (the safari couldn't render AJAX either)
I was all ready to plop down for the iphone, but after using it, I am really sad but I think I'll wait until my phone starts to die before thinking about getting one.
the interesting thing is how many suckers there are. hte iphone is undoubtly a beautiful creation. i'm not an iphone hater. all i'm pointing out, is that it isn't smart to buy the 1st gen units. apple will eventually fix all the issues in the v2 release. they always do. just like with the ipod.
from reviews i've read, the call quality isn't the best. they call it a useful toy. i assume it will soon be hacked and then much more useful. it is just surprising the apple has already sold 1M iPhones.
And it's not as if Apple haven't already designed the 2nd Generation phone and planned production is it - it'll be half the price and do twice as much - this is APPLE people.
The problem with waiting for a second gen product is you then need to use a phone with a crappy UI that much longer. I have played with 5 or 6 different phones in the last 4 years and just kept waiting for the right phone. The iPhone fits the bill for me. That's not to say that would be the case for everyone. I feel for my needs it was worth the $600 for the email client and visual voicemail.
Yes, please give an announcement for the rest of your customers Apple. Remember there is a whole world out there that isn't America.
You mean to say there are other countries? Let's invade!
You mean to say there are other countries? Let's invade!
"Not a kinda sort of internet, not a stripped down internet, JUST, the internet"
Well, we all know this is a lie, because it is not "Just, the 'Internet'".
If it was anyone else but Apple, there'd be a class action lawsuit by now. Talk about false advertising.
"If it was anyone else but Apple, there'd be a class action lawsuit by now. Talk about false advertising."
Yes, obviously people who gets their hands on an Apple product are immediately transformed into fanbois who are so fiercely loyal that they simply cannot bring themselves to sue. It's very clever on Apple's part, since it effectively puts them above the law.
Or could it be that you are exagerating your claims of false advertising just a teeny weeny bit? Can you in fact mention even one other company that has ever been subject of a class action suit because of false advertising?
Doing a Google search brings up a few. Here is one that Engadget reported on: http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/20/xm-hit-with-false-advertising-lawsuit-over-commercial-free-cla/
Next time, instead of assuming there haven't been any, do a search yourself. Can you in FACT say there were no lawsuits based on False advertising? NO, you can't.
it is the REAL internet, it just doesnt have any proprietry plug-ins (yet, there is a plugins feature yet to be used)
Better yet, here's anotehr one against Apple for "False Advertising"

Greg 3d,
It's too bad you're a twit, or you'd see that by citing your second story, you're undercutting your own initial argument.
The internet is just some series of tubes...
I live in Pittsburgh too. But, no iPhone for me.. i love my Verizon service
Also from Pittsburgh... but I'm a big hippie using Working Assets. I think if college was in session, all the students would have snapped up those phones right quick...
Kinda tempting to see if I can get one to resell, but I was full of hate for eBay flippers when I tried to get my Wii, so I'll just leave it for someone who really wants it.
Geez...where did all these numbers came from? I mean, come on, it seems like people are just randomly throwing numbers out. Couple of days ago, "analysts" were saying sell-out rate between 250k-550k at the same days. Who's right? Now...it's up to a million? Please, stop making crap up. I wouldn't be suprises if there are no where near a million iphone sold.
I'm sorry for all the people at the front of the line.
As we used to say in the Air Force, "Never fly an A model!"
Fools and their money....
It has been widely reported that over 500,000 sold this past weekend, and over 1 million activations have been logged. The product is the most reported and talked about electronic ever, so what is so suprising? BTW, it is the REAL internet, lol. I am writing this comment from my iphone, and will soon verify the comment through email over the iphone. How could you sue them for false advertising? The advertising would have to be false, right? Maybe your definition of the REAL internet is telepathy? I personally think the web browser on the iphone is awesome. It is a total joy to use. I even wish my PC browser would copy some of the zoom features. I had no problem navigating my three personal websites
Why is it that Non-Apple technology users are on such a a downer', in some kind of tech depression, spouting hate everywhere, or generally being morose ?
Apple folks are always so much more happy about their technology. They get excited about new stuff coming from Apple and non-Apple users seem to really get upset by this.
They want to share the 'love' and you'll often hear them saying stuff like 'Hey friend, come over and look at this. It's awesome..Try it you'll love it'.
Has anyone else noticed this ? Why aren't non-Apple users like this ?
That is a really interesting social question.
I think it has to do with the apple vs. the rest feeling that binds the apple people together as a minority group and makes them feel about it..being the underdog, truly believing the products are superior and wanting to convince others they are to make the brand bigger and stronger...maybe a little for there own good..
Stefan - The Netherlands.
That's not completely the case. A lot of Apple fanboys are very narrow minded and negative toward anything but Apple products. This leaves a bad taste in some people mouth and makes them dislike Apple fanboys and eventually Apple products as a result.
Personally I don't take sides. I love good gadgets no matter who they come from. It's absolutely stupid to be a blind fanboy or a hater. Why be so extreme either way?
I'll needed iphone only for watching a movies in subway. That's all. And i can spend 600 dollars for that, because this products is very easy to use.
Unlike Engadget want us to belive. the Ipony has been a fiasco, DOWN WITH APPLE!
I like Apple stuff I have a Mac and I think it's quite nice. However if you were new to the planet you'd be forgiven for thinking that Apple actually invented everything that they sell and that everybody else's stuff was a poor imitation. Cleary untrue.
This is partly due to the absolutely brilliant marketing plus massive backup from the smug drones who buy into the 'Apple vs. anyone else debate' and deride others who don't agree.
Long live diversity. Up yours smug drones - Mac, PC or otherwise!
We can be sure that whatever number comes from Cupertino, it will not include any returns ...
I think a lot of what has come to be known as Apple 'fan boys' mindset comes from the people that were Mac users in the early to mid nineties. Apple was on the brink of extinction back then, the few stories or articles you would find about Apple would always describe Apple as 'beleaguered' or 'embattled' never positive or hopeful - but it wasn't about their OS or hardware. There were even a few publications that featured an 'Apple death watch' section. Speculation of buy outs by Sun and other companies surfaced. It was a scary time for Mac users. What was a Mac users alternative- Windows 3.1? You people remeber Windows 3.1? Ever compare it to Mac OS 7? Mac OS 7 was "revolutionary" Windows 95. People who used Mac knew that many people were just going with what they read, not what they experieced first hand on a Mac. They know that most Windows users would love the Mac OS if they only used it. But was near impossible to experience if you were a typical consumer. The advertising sucked, the retail presence was non existent. Most new users were coming in only by being referred by a legacy user. With very few new users coming on board, the OS was destined to die. What to do? Spread the word yourself, or loose the tool that makes you so productive, creative.
Evangelists as they were called.
The very thought of having to switch to the other OS would cause people like myself to wonder what other careers they could migrate to. 'Carpentry' is what I've always said. I will not do graphic design on Windows. I have tried, I end up hating doing what I normally love to do. Ever try to type a simple copyright or registed tradmark symbol? Damn! Its the little things, and those same little things are what drives a hardcore Machead to try convince others of trying out Macs. It isn't a superiority thing, it isn't a smug thing. It boils down to wanting to share an experience that they so love, and to preserve the threatened tool, the environment of the OS that drives them.
No one likes to be forced into anything. Non Mac users see the Mac people trying to force them into using Mac, and Mac users try to get as many converts so as not to be forced into using Windows through lack of choice.
There are no 'fan boys' only passionate computer users.
Umm... this is a very common sentiment you have here, but as someone who has done graphics work on Macs, Amigas, SGIs, and yes, even PCs, I really would like to know what the hell you are talking about? Just looking at your example of using extended characters, like copyright or registered trademark symbols, makes no sense to me. How are those two extra keys (ALT+169 vs. OPT+G) making your life so horrible that you would consider changing careers? For that mater, most of the time it is only a difference of one keypress, like ALT+176 vs. OPT+SHFT+8.
Seriously, if you think the brand of your computer, or even what OS it runs, determines how creative you are, you really might need to think about changing careers. Of course, then you would probably just sit around talking about how you couldn't stand to be a carpenter if you had to use Craftsman tools instead of Makita, because Makita tools are just so much more intuitive..
Yeah, that's it - jackass. Shame on you Amiga & SGI users for not saving your platform, you should have taken note from the Mac community.
The computer doesn't determine my creativity, but it certainly can hinder it. And Windows is a hindrance. Dealing with print CMYK files are the norm, yet Windows frequently chokes on these. There are TONS of little things, as I have siad before. I have both Macs & PCs at home and at work. For the most part, the PCs are used for MS office & going on the internet. Macs are used to do all the things that people want to know how they were done. The Mac bashers here do not have a Mac, or are even that familiar with them I would bet. And I am not talking about an Apple from 10 years ago - something current.
If I were a painter, and said I only like using Grumbacker paints, you could also come back & say that the Wal Mart brand paints do the same thing. Some of us like quality, Lloyd.
Your Kia & my Benz both have a steering wheel, four wheels and engine. Same thing, right Lloyd?
You've used all these OSes - good for you. I would hope you are well entrenched in the graphics profession & doing well.
Knowing my designs are worldwide, I certainly am, and I attribute a huge part of that to the Mac OS making it as intuitive and painless as possible, while also being great designs in both the hardware and OS.
Real designers appreciate great design no matter what it is. You sound more like an engineer, Lloyd.
I'm amazed of how people can be such idiots. Even if you don't like the iPhone, at least appreciate it for the simple fact that it has raised the bar for all phone makers. Also, my hat is off to Apple for a UNBELIEVABLE first attempt at a cell phone. It's simply incredible.
You said it -- it's a FIRST ATTEMPT. And it'll remain that until Apple realizes a PHONE is a PHONE first. If it's not usable as a PHONE, it's nothing more than an overhyped iPod.
There are 3 million iLosers in the US just because the US lacks any real phones. For all of us here in Asia who are blessed with far more advanced cellular technology and far more interesting phones, the iStone with stone-age technology will barely make an impact here.
I'm not an Apple fanboi by no means...But I've often heard that the rest of the world gets better phones than us in the USA. Can you please cite some examples of phones that are better than the iPhone? I was looking at the Nokia N95, but I'd like to see others.
TK from Pittsburgh here. I bought mine at 6:20 on Friday, and was 30th (roughly) in line at the ATT store I went to. The guy at the front of the line had been there since 8AM. Poor sap!
I stopped by the South Hills Village Apple Store on Tuesday to get a case, and they still had supply (though they would not say how many they had). Store traffic was decent for a Tuesday at 5PM. Not sure why we have more phones here, but let me know if you need one :)
TK
I needed!
Can send you the money by Paypal!
PLEASE! SELL IT to ME!!!!!!

So, wake up, Nokia, already! Faster CPU, more memory, smaller phones.
I live in Pittsburgh, PA and when the iPhone was released the news stated only 20 people were in line to get one.
Wonder how many people are going to drive here to get one. Might as well buy one and put it on eBay. ;)
yet how many always wanted to be test pilots, to each its own. If someone feels getting a fair value from buying an iPhone good for them.
That's funny, I live in Tigard Oregon.
WRT the "million activations", I'm sure some of those were blown attempts as people tried to wrestle with the activation issues AT&T was having. So I'd be cautious about assuming there's a 1:1 ratio between activations and unit sales. But to be fair, there are probably a lot out there for resale (e.g. ebay) that account for a unit sale, but that haven't been activated.
If these are really internal AT&T numbers, I'm sure they can tell the difference between a successful activation and a failed attempt. It's not like these numbers come from someone who was sniffing their network traffic.
I noticed some headlines about iPhone shortages. What's with that? The warehouses should still have a couple of million iPhones ready to ship in a day or so. That would only be considered a shipping delay, not a shortage. These news articles are so confusing that I don't think anyone in the media knows anything.
If an iPhone can be ordered online what's the big deal. Order it and wait a few days for it to ship.
It's stupid. If the iPhones are available, then they're not selling, which is bad. If they're unavailable, then there's a shortage, which is bad. Why no middle ground? There is far too much speculation going on and Apple isn't saying anything.
I seriously doubt they are "out of stock". The STORES may not have them, but you can bet the warehouses somewhere have them. It's called marketing! Supply & demand. If you create a demand for a product, such as saying that you are temporarily out of stock, people will hound the stores til they come in and snap them up. If people think the phone is so hot that it is always out of stock, they think they can't live without one. It's the "keep up with the Jones's" mentality.
All these early adopters are the "guinea pigs" for the 1.0 iPhone. When the dust (and price) settles down, the 1.01, or even 2.0 version might have some of the features everyone would like...such has recording video, cut & paste, exchange email etc...
Don't be stupid.
Iphone sells only in US now.
With hack it is possible to use it as ipod with wifi now in any country.
So if there's all the world ordering them in US now (by some ways) - you don't have any supply to complete all orders... simple mathematics! And thats all because Apple haven't start selling it in Europe.
I predict - It can be sold out for months.
Why are people still buying other phones?
iPhone forver!
iPhone forvr?
Phsical kybords forvr!
People are still buying other phones largely because usually you either have a choice of signing up for a 1-2 year contract OR buying your equipment up-front. AT&T/Apple want to have their cake and eat it too. You have to buy the iPod/Phone outright AND sign a 2-year contract with America's worst network. Good night, Irene.
1 million phones is roughly 2% of at&t's current customers, even 500k would mean 1%. That seems like a high conversion rate in any case.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear the number is closer to 250k or even 100k.
Come on people. You all act like the iPhone is the greatest thing since sliced bread. It doesn't even have a REMOVABLE battery. It requires a 2-year contract. It is overpriced. $600 for 8GB? Come on, the OS takes up 740MB of space and if you expect it to be an iPod it should be at least 16GB.
Oh come on Steve, it's far greater than sliced bread. Did you ever try to make a phone call with sliced bread?
Yet unconfirmed rumors say if you put some salami and mustard between two iPhones and take a bite, it tastes delicious.
The iPhone does have a removable battery. It just takes a little more expertise to remove it.
It doesn't need any activation NOW.
Go here - hackint0sh.org
Later it won't be requiring AT&T Sim-card either - after new hack.
The battery will last more than 3 years, dolt. And you do not have to sign up. Its screen is much better than others, and it runs OS X (no Windoh's crashing/datawiping), so it's not overpricede.
Steve Ballmer has got to be eating his words right now. Who's going to pay 600 bucks for a phone? A hell of a lot of people, it turns out.
That AT&T sold? That's probably FUD because they changed their name.
Don't got much to say, but ill say the little I have to say: Yeah apple!
:)
I just picked up 2 at the Seattle, WA Apple store in University Village. They get shipments DAILY. Just because they sell out every day means the leave the little red light on the website on. Call your local Apple stores!
iPassed. And I'm glad I did. Seen a friend's iPhone along with his buyer's remorse while BBQing yesterday. I can do everything the iPhone can, and more, with my Nokia 6131. Google Maps, Google Mail, Camera -- heck, my phone even records video. And it's only a phone, not a brick in my pocket. And when I do need to browse while mobile, I pull out my N800 Internet Tablet. The combination of those two devices still cost less than the iPhone, and I'm not shackled to America's worst carrier.
I'm waiting for the Class Action against Apple when the batteries are dying next year. Apple claims 400 charges on the fixed battery. If people use their iPhones fully, they'll need to charge daily. That's 13-14 months before the battery gives in and needs to be replaced by Apple. Cool, huh? Who designed this POS?
You're the PoS. What is the quality and stability of your OS and videos? How about your screen, and its resolution? Does it support multitouch gestures, Widgets, visual voicemail? How about unique dunamic, corrective keyboards for every application? How long is your talktime, about five hours or the iPhone's 8 hours? Why would anyone need the phone that long every day? Whit does your plan cost?
The 400-charges refers to a decay constant, not to a die-constant. It's how a lifetime (also a declination) of a battery is metene.
Awww, poor bastard, you bought one, didn't you? Sucker.
Don't forget, you're contradicting yourself. I agree, nobody needs to use a PHONE for 8 hours. But the iPod/Phone is a mediocre phone at best -- it IS however, a decent iPod with video player, and a so-so internet device. If you're using all that functionality, you'll pretty much run through a charge in a day. Then you'll need to charge.
The battery life on my phone is excellent. Ditto on my internet tablet. The resolution on the latter is 800x480 on a 4" screen, which comes out to a little more than the 160dpi the iPod/Phone" claims. The on-screen keyboard is just fine too, including punctuation, which for the iPod/Phone is strangely a click away. And yes, you can have widgets or Desktop Applets. Never mind that the Internet Tablet includes flash support.
Keep in mind that the iPod/Phone's supposed features, like the multi-touch interface and baloney. Close your eyes and dial a number on your iPod/Phone. No really, do it! Can't do it, can you? What, no voice-dailing? My Motorola T720 from 2002 had that. And every phone since then. And they also had a keypad in common (duh, it's a PHONE!)... something which is essential for folks who like to use their phone, say, while driving (with a headset of course). The iPod/Phone requires too much visual feedback and will slow power-users down... and distract them from the road. I predict that by Valentine's Day next year there will be at least one report of an iPod/Phone related car accident.
What else? The iPod/Phone doesn't support Java applications nor does it have an SDK, so you're stuck with whatever Apple cooks up. The OS is closed, so it's unlikely there will be fixes for the inevitable bugs and the obvious shortcomings anytime soon. The Internet Tablet runs Linux... and there are literally hundreds of applications to be had for it, along with OS fixes and extensions.
My phone has a mini-SD slot, and my Internet Tablet has two SD slots. The iPod/Phone has... absolutely no way of expanding memory.
Face it, you bought yourself a brick. And you can argue with all the pretty rhetoric you found on battery life, but fact is, Apple indicated 400 charges as the battery life for the iPod/Phone... and that means in a year the batteries will either be dead, or won't even last through a day anymore. Which is the same in reality. And then you'll have the choice of taking your freshly charged iPhone and either a) listening to 4 hours of music; b) watching 30 minutes of video; c) making a 20 min phone call; d) using wifi for 15 minutes; or e) keeping it in standby from 9am through 3pm. After that, it's a recharge, and boy, that's gonna get old.
C'est la vie, sucker.
wrong, shithead: http://engadget.com/2007/07/10/iphone-hackers-we-have-owned-the-filesystem/2#c5903599
And I didn't buy the iPhone.
It is OS X v1.0, not Mac OS X. The expansion is external, which is why the phone is so small. You are still the PoS.
Aww, back to all that swearing again? So now you have to hack the iPhone to change ringtones? Whoop-dee, all my phones since ~2003 have had custom ringtones since ~2003. Otherwise, what's the big deal? Crawl back in your cave, child.
Lol, you're proving your position quite well. So, are you
a) Violently acting out buyer's remorse;
b) Still entirely clueless about the PoS you made your mommy spent her welfare check on;
c) Upset that your after-school job at McDonald's won't afford you the mandatory $60/month lease on something you would actually have to buy upfront; or
d) Just a little troll?
My guess is you're 13 and any combination of two of the above. Good buy kiddo. You're not worth people's time.
I didn't buy the iPhone, but I do read up much on its features. You would be the troll as you know nothing about.
You're right, the battery will probably last 5-10 years. Unless you use the phone. It also doesn't use OS-X, but a proprietary OS which is open only to Apple -- so no 3rd party applications. FWIW, OS-X never crashes... it only has "kernel panics", which really is the same thing, so suck it.
That said, you're the PERFECT Apple customer: Entirely clueless.
It will last that long when you use it, shiithead. And recharges every 2–3 days. The OS is OS X 1.0. In early July, Jobs said that 3rd party apps will come soon, so you suck yourself.
HEY Endgadget All of Virginia still has iphones! Every apple location ha them. lol guess we are not apple fans round here. lol
Naw, you're just smarter.
"lysdexia - The battery will last more than 3 years, dolt. And you do not have to sign up. Its screen is much better than others, and it runs OS X (no Windoh's crashing/datawiping), so it's not overpricede."
