Saitek unveils Cyborg Rumble Gamepad, Headset for PC
Saitek, the creator of quite a few sexy PC peripherals, has apparently unveiled a duo of new PC accessories that take styling cues from console counterparts. While hardcore FPS gamers have long yearned for a mouse / keyboard combo for their disadvantaged consoles, Saitek could be hoping that the same mantra will prove true in reverse, and has introduced the Cyborg Rumble Gamepad and Cyborg Headset in order to give PC gamers a solid alternative to the age-old WASD method. The standout feature on the gamepad is its Precision Control mode that reportedly "allows gamers to select the sticks and buttons on the controller that, when the mode is activated, are desensitized so as to allow for the most precision." As for the headset (shown after the break), it boasts a "5.1 surround setup" and includes a trio of drivers in each ear, and while we wish pricing and availability details were already disclosed, it looks like we'll all be playing the wait-and-see game on Saitek's latest pair.

There's nothing the gamepad can do that I would need it to do and an Xbox 360 Controller or Rumblepad can't do for my PC needs
so all that's left to discuss is the price

Okay, first it looks like a 360 PS2 cross over. I'd rather use my real 360 controller.
And second, why is it that if they are going for FPS use did they move the primary stick down?
Kind of pointless and stupid, but if the D-pad is good you get all the comfort of a 360 controller (or so it looks likes) and a decent d-pad for emulation.

No thanks, love your keyboards Saitek, I'll stick to my Mad Catz X360 Game Pad Pro for my PC controller needs.(Resident Evil 4 anyone?)

Before you guys go all flame on, useful to note that this thing can switch the left D-pad and thumbstick around so you can choose xbox or ps style. Very nice if you like ps2 layout but like xbox feel.

very innovative, if only Logitech and Thrustmaster didn't put that on like all their gamepads
besides which anyone with any other controller could just change it, I don't see the need to do the swap in the middle of a game

Actually, if that is the case then I might want to get this.
That is so long as it has a better d-pad.
I was wondering why that side had a silver strip.

ill stick with my 360 controller on the pc (which is built to work with all gamee for windows games (which seems like almost all new good games nowadays).
Dont know why anyone would want the left thumbstick down there. thats the one flaw of the playstation controller and here they picture it like that.

i think its REALLY cool how you can switch over the joystick and d-pad. i want one of these now!!!

I think the main feature of this controller is the precision mode which allows for a lot more accuracy. The ability to switch the analog stick and d-pad is pretty cool tough, especially for emulation when you want the d-pad to be the easier thing to reach.

Well, depending on price, i ma actually get this, I SUCK at using WASD. Plus i like playing lots of emulated games, so its win-win.
