"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
I bought a new Toshiba laptop in January, and while I have enjoyed my new computer, I think Vista slows it down significantly. If I had discs for XP, I would have installed it instead of Vista long ago. The graphics are pretty, but who cares when they are the main reason it takes so much memory to run the thing. Plus, all the little pop-up windows asking repeatedly for permission to do things is frustrating. I also don't like that the pop-down menus for windows like "open" save the last several folders I've opened, instead of just having the usual, main folders available like Desktop, My Documents, etc.
Kudos to windows for trying to make improvements, but Apple still wins the customer satisfaction ratings by leaps and bounds in my opinion. My next computer is definitely going to be a Mac.
