MSI launches PR200 ultraportable in Korea
Recall that quietly seductive PR200 we saw way back in January? MSI has gone and launched the 12-inch ultraportable in Korea, given it a dark outfit, and thrown it into the ever-expanding MEGABOOK lineup. The finalized machine will reportedly sport Intel's 965 Express chipset, a Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, 2GB of RAM, 802.11n support, integrated GMA X3100 graphics, a 1.3-megapixel camera, built-in microphone, and an HDMI port. Additionally, you'll find a fingerprint scanner, onboard optical drive, audio in / out, a number of USB ports, and a ginormous palm rest sticker for good measure. Click on for a snapshot of the front.

Looks sexy. Shame about the integrated graphics though. Pricing?
strider_mt2k @ Jul 24th 2007 7:46AM
Indeed!
-but what did you want better graphics for, gaming?
I don't think the rest of the specs are up for it beyond maybe some simpler or older games.
Who am I kidding? I'd still try to run Enemy Territory on it myself!

Do you really need a 12 inch system to handle more than Aero and the option of outputting to a high resolution on an external monitor?
Andrew H. @ Jul 24th 2007 12:17PM
yeah i dont think people buy 12 inch laptops for gaming.

Is it just me or does this notebook look just like the dell xps m1330?
cleentrax @ Jul 24th 2007 1:45PM
Looks like the MSI notebook that System76 is shipping with Ubuntu installed.
chaloy @ Jul 25th 2007 2:19AM
It is the same notebook PR200/MS-1221.

MSI 12" Megabooks suck big time! I had one and the magnesia housing was somewhat bent. It nodded on a plain table. Moreover when it got warm it bent even more so the nodding was increased too. The Keyobard is super lousy too, you could push the buttons right to the bottom easily. I returned that bummer the next day.

Schwait... Is that a Dell XPS laptop rebranded for MSI???
