Twenty20's VholdR wearable camera catches your sick moves
When you're seriously shredding on your semi-dangerous vehicle of choice (bike, motorbike, personal jetpack, electric unicycle) and you need to capture some of your "moves," you're going to be reaching for something like the VholdR. Well, you probably won't be reaching for it, since Twenty20 says this is "wearable," and though it looks similar to the company's helmet camera, we think you're supposed to put it somewhere else. Regardless -- you'll at least be reaching for the record button... er, switch. The small camera will supposedly capture all your freshest moments with its 192 degree rotating lens, twin laser alignment, "fine line" compression engine, and shockproof, splashproof aluminum enclosure. Finally, a device which is equally matched to your daredevil-like, extreme lifestyle. Available during "the holiday season" for $349.99, and ready for preorders right now.

I get RF interference with my jetpack. It's worth knowing if you're thinking about buying one.
I wish this was already out, i am going to Moab, UT in two weeks and i would love to record my Mountain biking Drops and jumps. Would'eve been nice!
Sweet! Now there'll be many more Youtube videos of stupid people's last moments. Comedy gold!
Brien Mizell,
Look at a Oregon Scientific ATC 2000. They are about $100 and record an hours worth of 640x480 @ 30 fps on a 2gb SD card. It uses 2 AA batteries. I used it on a motorcycle trip to Montana and also on my helmet @ work to record some interior fire attack on a structure fire.
Down side is the audio... it sucks. But the image quality for such a small camera is pretty good. It comes with a helmet mount and a handlebar mount.
Brent,
Hey how much does the ATC weigh? I'm looking for something a little lighter than the FLIP camera that I'm using now.
I think the ATC is a little lighter than the flip I think. I looked @ the FLIP before getting the ATC and it was going to be really hard to mount it. The ATC is also rated as waterproof which is nice if your using it in hostile environments.
It's by no means perfect, but a much cheaper alternative to a $350 helmet cam tethered to a camcorder...
My brother wears a Samsung SC-X105L sports camera when he goes in to combat in Afghanistan. These things are lightweight, built to take a serious beating, yet still produce nice images with decent sound. The main recording unit is kept tucked away while the remote cam-head unit can be mounted many different ways on your body or helmet.

I think it was tomshardware.com that did a review showdown with this camera and several others, but it was a while a go and I cant't remember.

Hey,
looks a nice camera for my travel's by bicycle. But I just liked something more...
A micro-SD can't take as much video as my laptop HD and are expensive to buy in loads.
Replacing an LCD/viewfinder by 2 lasers? - No Thanx!!!
Maybe a good accesoire to begin with?
No words about battery-life, and this for an outdoor product
