Pacemaker DJing system gets demonstrated on video
Just months after catching wind of the Pacemaker handheld DJ system, the (lucky) folks over at Digital-Lifestyles managed to get their hands on a prototype unit and spend a few quality moments perusing its features. Interestingly, their unit did indeed sport a color display, but still retained the 120GB hard drive that was previously expected. 'Course, you're already well aware of what this thing can potentially do for you, so without further ado, be sure and check out the hands-on videos waiting after the break.
Update: Aaaand we have a price. €520, about $700 US, shipping in December. More info here.

umm, that's what my ipod needs...but I haven't seen them do a real mix on that...any idea why ? :(
Tommy 2Tall @ Aug 31st 2007 3:17AM
What defines a "real mix" to you?
In the second clip on this page you can see/hear him flip the crossfader (the LED-lit bar in the middle) back and forth and in the first clip you can see/hear him "take down the treble as well".
As far as I see these two clips demonstrates how the visual EQ, track selection and (multitouch) crossfader works.
If they are consistant with the multitouch feature on the crossfader one might hope that you can do similar multitouch "taps" with the gain and EQ settings.
When I got half way through this comment I finally realized what you probably mean; no pitch/BPM adjustments and no cueing/track position is shown in these two clips... but I guess more clips are available? *here's hoping..*
