HD video: iPhone unlocked on camera from start to finish

Ok, here it is, the first time on camera you've seen a real iPhone software SIM unlocked from start to finish (and not done with the demo app iPhoneSIMfree sent out last week). The last iPhoneSIMfree unlock video we had only showed of the end result of a successful iPhone unlock, which took place off-camera. This time we're doing the entire process, which we confirmed earlier this morning, on video. For quick reference, here are the steps we took on camera:

1. Started with AT&T SIM inserted
2. Inserted T-Mobile SIM, showed that it produces invalid SIM error (expected behavior for a locked iPhone)
   
3. Connected to iPhone over SSH
4. Transferred iPhoneSIMfree unlock app over SCP
5. Restarted SpringBoard (iPhone default application launcher)
6. Ran iPhoneSIMfree app
7. When complete, iPhone shows that T-Mobile SIM no longer produces invalid SIM error, instead asks for activation (expected behavior for an iPhone that has a valid SIM, but is not yet activated)
   
• Prep for re-activation off camera using iAsign (phone is now unlocked, but still activated with AT&T)
8. Back on camera: activate iPhone with T-Mobile SIM using iAsign
9. Make test call to another phone
10. Activate iPhone once more with AT&T SIM using iAsign

Granted, we don't expect end-users to take all these steps when unlocking their iPhone -- we just went a little overboard here so everyone can see the release software is functional, and unlocks iPhones as advertised. Embedded player after the break.

Having just purchased a new iphone, awaiting an iphonesimfree license and having read ALL the comments up to this point I'll reiterate this question as clearly as possible:

Does anyone, anywhere, have a walk through / instructions / read me of any kind for unlocking a brand new iphone, that has not been activated on ATT?

I'd rather ATT not have my $ or information. THANK YOU, ANYONE.

Quick question: I want to buy this phone but am moving to France. Would intalling this program allow me to use a French SIM like, Orange, or is that a different system? Do i have to wait until they come out in France? They will be much more expensive...advice is welcome:)

I have an AT&T account already but I have a military discount so if I were to just use my existing account, I would lose that discount. Will an unlocked Iphone still get internet access on AT&T? Will video voicemail work?

i googled n googled n came up with these steps so far which need to be done before gettin this app on to ur phone:
Step 1:
Jailbreak iphone (explained here)

im all of for importing one from the usa to use here in the uk but i just dont see how you get round the problem of activating the phone. i know the sim unlock means it can use another sim but dont you still have to activate the phone with at&t and so have to tie yourself down to a contract with them?

i know im clearly being stupid but if someone could enlighten me on this id be huuuuuuuuuuuugely appreciative i needs me a iphone

I know the question has been asked but the threads dont give an official answer. Will I need to activate the AT&T sim in order to perform the unlock? Therefore paying for a new contract. And will iTunes UK be ok activating a USA bought iPhone?

Does anyone know if this would work for smaller carriers like Helio? I'm sure the phone service would, but what about the data plan and special services that are somewhat unique to the carrier?

OK, I saw the iphone work with a T-Mobile sim. Can you tell me how to make this phone work with verizon or is not possible at all?
