Those shiny
new VAIO NRs we told you about a couple of weeks ago have gotten the US nod and a price tag, and we thought we'd share the good news. The model, which Sony is referring to as "entry-level," touts a 15.4-inch, XBRITE-ECO display, a Core 2 Duo CPU, and all the regular bells and whistles, like 802.11a/b/g, DVD-RW, and an ExpressCard slot. The new laptop comes in a "fabric-like" casing, is available in three "stylish" colors (wenge, silk, and granite), and will be selling next month for the surprisingly low price (at least for Sony) of $750.

It has that X505 keyboard that Apple ripped off.

I bet it is just a hard plastic case textured to feel like fabric, I cannot imagine them actually wrapping a computer in fabric. Those leather-wrapped computers look ridiculous.

Very nice.
I'll TAKE IT!
I even like brown - it looks like it has leather casing.
So sad that Apple doesn't producing any little 12'' laptops now.

Why settle for an Apple when you can have a Vaio?

Because Apple got the best and secure OS.
I have one Windows comp and i can't delete two trojans (one - vuundo) from there now, when i found them by antivirus - i've tried everything, even i broke network dll's but they're present as ever. So, to erase all viruses and advertisement worms i'll decide to rewrite whole os again. That's awful.
Never had this problems on my imac, especially annoying advertisement pop-ups and etc.
