We figure this website wasn't intended for public consumption -- either that, or we're all invited to the "2007 National Launch Tour" for the imminently available AT&T Tilt, and we should be speaking to our regional sales managers immediately to confirm our eligibility. The picture here looks pretty much like
what we'd seen of the HTC Kaiser variant in the wild, confirming that the front cam is gone (no surprise), though it's a little chubbier looking than we thought, yeah? Or is it just us? Anyway, the site gives nary a clue about when we might actually be able to get a Tilt in our hands simply by walking into a store, but happily, everything we've heard still points to an October launch. Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to go track down our regional sales manager.

HTC invited all store managers from my region to an event at a local hotel where they will be serving food to all attendees and showcasing the phone and also giving all the managers their own personal tilt. The event is 10/11.
It looks like the got rid of the chrome finish on the physical buttons. Yay!
You can't really tell if they got rid of that nasty chrome since it's not a straight up phone but a possible retouched one for publicity. Besides, who's gonna wanna get this thing when they've taken away features from the original?
I'm kind of tired of AT&T and their inability to deliver anything on time. Besides the constant delays on this, Where's WM6 for the BlackJack???
I did not realize that ATT actually gave an official launch date yet. Can you provide a link/details on that? To the best of my knowledge, it has simply been hearsay and conjecture from the general public.
Yea, you can't be delayed when you haven't confirmed the existence of a product or given a release date.
Considering how long it has been since WM6 was released and how competing companies (T-mobile) have provided upgrades for competing devices (Dash) months ago, I would say they are way late on this.
As far as the Tilt is concerned it has been launched in the UK by T-mobile already. Check out the link:

AMEN! I can't believe they pushed it back to the 22nd. What happened to late July?! AT&T is terrible at keeping dates. They do have cool phones though..
I pre-ordered and put a deposit on mine last Monday. I was told October 9 (Tuesday).

I went ahead and got the unlocked version (with 2 cameras). After 5 days I can tell you - this is just the best toy I've ever had. Every push of a button is accompanied by so much soothing and satisfaction that I don't want to put it down. Ever.
The few complaints:
- It usually takes a little too long to switch b/w screen directions when you slide the keyboard out;
- T-Mobile Data stopped working as soon as a friend experimented with Internet Sharing. I'm guessing that a setting got changed, but haven't had any luck in fixing it yet.
