I have nothing against Toshiba but I've never liked their laptops cause they always FEEL cheap. When I was in College years ago I was an M.O.D at Best Buy. HP laptops always felt of higher quality than the Toshibas whch seemed to have plastic that bent and flexed under pressure. They also had flimsy keyboards.
That was years ago then. Have you tried any of the new satellites NOW?
I've worked with the older Satellies and I must say they did feel cheap. Now I have the chance to work with a new one and it feels very sturdy. The smooth finish is very nice too. Overall, it's a solid budget laptop.
