Mouth-mounted camera leads to unconventional art
Hanging a camera on the side of your dome is one thing, but cramming one in your throat takes a level of bravado we have no experience with. Still, we can't help but toss props to Mr. Justin Quinnell, who somehow managed to insert a camera into his throat and snap a few interesting photos which he's currently selling as art. We know, the above image alone probably grossed quite a few of you out, but for those into this, be sure and hit the read link for a real mouthful.

How Steve Jobs sees customers.
that made me laugh, good one.
How Bill Gates used to see Apple (as well).
Funny assed photos not sure if I would pay for them as art though.
So very sad.
In his other photos, his teeth look NASTY!
Do I detect the evil GINGIVITIS moster? Quick Listerine man fight this awful vile creature of filth!
This hasn;'t been made yet?
Something about this seems kind of... fake...
Since Counter-Strike, everyone thinks people use aimbots, wallhack and uh, fake teeth pictures.
I don't know why, but I rather be looking at someones mangled arm then a close up on the mouth like that, god it disgusts me so.
The pic with the spider on the toothpaste is disgusting!
It's not art until he sticks either a shotgun or a penis in his mouth.
It's not talent until he can do both.
anne hamilton already does this...and its actually art (kinda...i dont like it but ppl consider it art)...this def. isnt
I read about him in a somewhat recent photo magazine my photo department had lying around the darkroom. He made tiny pinhole cameras that he stabilizes with his tongue. I don't remember if he was shooting film or paper though - probably a very slow film. Very cool concept - only wish I had thought of it myself.
Yes, Anne Hamilton has been doing this for far longer.
I believe that he uses a single frame cut from 35mm colour negative film in a pin-hole camera made from a match box. He's also made a wheely bin into a massive camera (I expect he used paper for that!). I'm not familiar with Anne Hamilton but this guy has been doing this type of thing for a good decade or so (I saw this picture at least three years ago).
The nailbiting photo turned my stomach. ew.
justin is actually one of my lecturers on the photography course University college Falmouth, he makes these images with 'smiley cams' they're little 125 film canisters with tiny pin holes made in them. He selling them on the lomography website. He's a wonderfuly fun guy who also knows how to make a mean origami pegasus.
y'know, engadget, this guy putting the pinhole camera in his mouth and selling pictures is literally YEARS OLD. when i first got into photography, i bought his book.
way to get the story first, guys...
