I hate the branding here, it's lame. Sony's SXRD is basically a branding of the same basic technology that JVC calls D-ILA. The basic technology is known as LCoS, liquid crystal on silicon, a specific variation of LCD.
I think there are several 4k projectors out there. I'm surprised that JVC doesn't have one for sale already. I could have sworn that they put together the projector for NHK's UHDTV demo theater, which is 7,680 4,320, 4k should be simple in comparison.
