LG unveils HT972TR HTIB, favors Chocolate

If you thought LG had milked the Chocolate for all it was worth, you've got another thing comin'. That thing would be the HT972TR HTIB, which includes five satellite speakers, a 225-watt subwoofer, 1,000 total watts of amplification and a DVD player that handles 1080p upscaling as well as DivX. Moreover, the system boasts HDMI, DTS support, an AM / FM tuner and a USB port for loading up portable media. Not a lot of details beyond that just yet, but do yourself a favor and check out two more delicious shots waiting after the jump.

that's the center channel on top of the subwoofer.

the unit is in my pants. actually, the unit would seemingly have to be the device with the display and buttons on it. and it's own stand - who the fuck would put a center channel on it's own stand?!

Having lived in an Asian country, they're not ashamed to throw in a hot chick to make guys look at it more - they want you to want the product by wanting the girl.

It's Western culture that makes it taboo to want those things. However, in Western cultures it's ruder to say things like that than in asian countries.

I am not talking about using sex appeal to sell a product, this is an experience unique to asian females and online communities. If there is an asian female in the picture, whether she is attractive or not, you will get these comments. Its as if the online community thinks that being asian automatically makes a woman attractive. I can see having a preference, we all do, but this is borderline fetish with some of thee guys. Some of them need to get laid and realize that asian women are not some magical bastion of sexual prowess that makes them all automatically hot. They are women, who happen to be asian. It's almost racist in a way. or something.

Pretty cool, but it seems to me that using the stands ruins any advantage afforded by the sheer thinness of the system -- I would try to find a way to surface mount them, if the design allowed that, and without adversely affecting the acoustical quality.

The model is outstanding, too. I'd hit that.

Yeh, you guys are always saying that the model's not so hot. Well, the company or ad firm probably picked those models because they looked better than average. She darn sure looks sweet to me. Even if I get out more, I'm not going to see many women that look like her. I live in a neighborhood with almost no Asian women and too many overweight fuglies.
