Shuttle intros X38-based XPC Prima SX38P2 Pro desktop
It looks like those tempted by Shuttle's display of an X38-based XPC desktop back at Computex this summer can now finally get their fix, as the company has officially rolled out its new high-end XPC Prima SX38P2 Pro based on the aforementioned chipset. It'll let you take advantage of Intel's latest and greatest 45nm multi-core processors, not to mention up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM that can be overclocked to 1066MHz. You can also expect some similarly high-end features across the board, including a pair of PCI-Express 2.0 slots with support for ATI CrossFire graphics, Intel Turbo Memory, OASIS Cooling Technology, and a 400-watt power supply, with some built-in fingerprint recognition thrown in for good measure. No word on a price, but we're guessing that won't be a top concern for anyone considering building a system around one of these.

woo a shuttle with more than a 300w power supply. i still suspect it'll fry on a soon-to-be-released 8800 GTS though.
i wish there were some way to tell which pcie 2.0 actually support the higher bandwidth 5gbps links. theinquirer talked about nvidias solution for claiming pcie2.0 which was just meeting the power requirements and not running 5gbps.

Indeed. My Shuttle SN27P2 (same chassis) fried my XFX 7900GT!
I am on my third Shuttle. They make some nice products, but a warning; dealing with Shuttle's barebones support is not for the weak of mind or will.
I finally succumbed and purchased a mATX motherboard and Antec P182 and stuffed it under my desk; quiet, fast, and easy to work on.

How much will it cost?

Dude, that's amazing, the support list includes an 8800*GTX*:
Leadtek Winfast PX8800 GTX TDH 768MB GDDR3 (ROHS)
I didn't realize you could fit such a big-ass card into one of these little boxes.

Hmm... Im currently moving from MidATX case to a shuttle, (soon) and im wondering if this case really worth a buy, since im no gamer anymore i was opting for the SG33G5. This one seems better but bigger.

Shuttles are crappy, the company is even worse. A lot of times there are problems with the first version of their systems. That's why so many models have version 2 and version 3. Before you commit to buying a Shuttle try out their customer service or tech support with an easy question. I'm sure you're experience with them will quickly send your business to HP, Dell, or even Apple. Where's the innovation at Shuttle?? Some of their newest systems look just like the models sold in 2004!!

Shuttle's customer service party line is 1-888-972-1818
Tech support in Chinese = very good.
Tech support in other language like English = not so good.

I've got an SN27P2 that runs an 8800 GTS just fine on a 400 watt power supply. This thing looks awesome!
