Vita Audio releases the R1 DAB / FM radio
For some reason DAB radio manufacturers love rocking the retro look, and Vita Audio's R1 is no exception. Featuring a DAB and FM tuners, the seven-watt single-speaker all-in-one also sports a two-line LCD and Vita's "RotoDial" controller, while still retaining an certain old-school charm. The unit also sports an 1/8-inch input for MP3 players and analog outputs if you want to add some DAB love to your existing rig, but something tells us the kids who drop £150 ($300) on this thing will want to put it out front and center.

Very nice looking. If they made one sans-DAB (w/ the assumed drop in price that exlusion would bring), I'd have myself a new office radio/DAP-dock.

Tough to out-Tivoli a Tivoli, but it looks like they're trying their darnedest.
Not bad.

Got one... it's very good, beautful looks and good sound. However the vaunted control system is a bit dodgy. It's not particularly intuitive (when setting the alarms for instance), sometimes requiring you to use the up and down buttons when the rotodial would have made more sense. 5 presents is also bit limiting, when, with a bit of thought, the 5 keys could have easily controlled 15 presets. Finally the display is distractingly bright in standby (for a bedside radio).
Overall. A bit more thought needed!
