Boynq rolls out Wake Up iPod speaker / alarm clock
Yeah, what you see above actually is yet another iPod speaker / alarm clock mashup, but being that it's from Boynq, it looks noticeably better than most of the alternatives. The interestingly designed device does quite a few things aside from wake you from your slumber, as it also includes an FM radio and line in / out ports to compliment the built-in equalizer and 20-watts of amplification. Best of all, this thing plays nice with every dock-connecting iPod ever created (including the iPhone "on models produced after January 1st"), and the remote controllable snooze practically guarantees that you'll never be on time for anything again. Talk about user friendly. [Warning: PDF read link]
UPDATE: Looks like Amazon's got this thing for $129.99. Thanks Russ!

now that's a good looking ipod dock/clock radio.
no price/availability details? you're slacking, engadget.

I dig the design of this and I could see buying it if the price is not CRAZY.
Deputy Doffoos @ Oct 25th 2007 9:05PM
Just what I need! To never wake up again!
wakka_wakka @ Oct 25th 2007 9:12PM
that is too cool
it makes me want to buy it... and an iPod.
like the siren's call, only this doesn't look like it'll cheat you out of anything.

One of the better iPod docks around, but the new Citrus alarm beta serves me well.
Josh @ Oct 25th 2007 9:46PM
That is a pretty amazing program, certainly will help me wake up on time, thanks!
This alarm clock is pretty sweet looking too, better than those clunky looking ones i always see...

Yeah np, the guy did a really good job on his new one. The old one was just an average alarm clock program, but the new beta is better then anything else I've seen. Wake my laptop up from sleep so I don't have to leave it on too.

Really sleek design, but fortunately for me, I don't have an iPod ^_^.. but aside from that, I'd buy this if it worked with my Creative Zen :D

Looking good does not qualify for 120$
crazy price tag.
Thomas Bags @ Oct 26th 2007 6:02AM
It sounds good though supposedly.

Erm.... did I read it right? "iphone models produced after JANUARY 1st"??? I thought the iphone was first introduced June'07, or did I over slept and missed something?
easty @ Oct 25th 2007 10:20PM
I thought that.. or on docks dated after that.. or not until 2008?
(including the iPhone "on models produced after January 1st")
JackOLantern @ Oct 26th 2007 12:48AM
On the Amazon page it says 'Compatible with iPhone models produced after 1/1/08" ......2008???
What do they know about the iPhone changes coming in January 08?
Dean @ Oct 26th 2007 9:59AM
That's soo weird.
Could that be a typo?
Or will there be a new iPhone in January?
...I really don't see that happening.
Sirocco @ Oct 26th 2007 3:44AM
It's the ugliest thing that I ever wanted. But a "piano black" finish is a negative - I can't tell from the pictures.
seoultrain @ Oct 26th 2007 11:31PM
lol, does Boynq = Boink? Sounds like scientific progress to me..
