Netflix just started giving on demand movies away with their service. It's pretty nice, but I could see wanting to use it if I had a supported PMP.
Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but don't believe people are actually using Media Center Extender. I'm a pretty techie person and it seems way too complex for what you get out of it.
I would say it's the cost, not the tech complexity, that will keep people away from media extenders. Get them down to $200 and you'll have a different story.
