Apple Tablet "confirmed" by Asus?

[Thanks, T.I.]

A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
It's the Zach Morris version of the iphone
duh.
I have a MacBook sitting on my desk.
Really it it underpowered, I would prefer something with a little more speed, but I want the smallest form factor for when I travel.
If a ultra portable came out from Apple. Something like the Eee PC running OSX. I would ditch the MacBook, buy an iMac and this small device.
I wonder how unique I really am in this desire.
I know I could just get an iMac to use with the MacBook, but the difference doesn't seem enough to justify.
The small computer doesn't need much:
- Keynote
- Mail
- Pages
- iTunes (to watch on the plane)
I wonder if the Eee PC can be hacked to run OSX....hmmm
I would prefer it to run Adobe CS apps.
The guy in the pic looks damn happy. That must bode well.
The reason for a small tablet market is such:
Artists find them too inaccurate, or realize that a Wacom Intuos (or similar high end graphic pad) would cost the difference between the laptop and a tablet while being much more accurate.
Most experienced computer users (Like most of you reading this probably) can already type faster than write by hand.
And lastly, paper still exists in abundance.
That basically sums it up. So maybe when trees are all dead and we have just digital media tablets will take over, until then, "Day Planners" with leather bound backs will still sell for absurd amounts of money and will be bought.
Seriously, did everyone forget about http://www.axiotron.com, i been waiting on this for years..but screen too small.. but the genius people who are dress in black shirts dont know crap about tablets in their store,, there like huh whats that never heard of anything about that,, so why are you called genius bar!!! if you dont know SIHT!!
I just bought an Apple iPod Touch. It's awesome.

Personally, from loving my ipod touch, would buy a tablet.
I am saving to get the new macbook, and i would save more for a tablet.
Personally with myself traveling to and fro to my parents, vacations, school work, and plain out entertainment i would love it.
I just wish, like previous tablet models, it has an active and passive switch, so u can go from pen to finger tip in an instant, for things like detail drawing. Because honestly makeing that fine detail with a fat pudgy index finger, well, isn't the easiest thing to do.
I would like to see a CD/DVD slot this would be perfect, as i said i travel alot, and plane flights do get VERY boring.
I hope they add iSight. And that its not so heavy!
if my dreams dont come true, i guess ill just wait for the ModBook to lower the price, like that'll happen.
