AT-AT Gamecube mod now for sale, fanboys swarm
There are mods, and then there are works of art. Without question, the item you see above falls squarely into the latter category, and it's likely to give any devout Star Wars fan a chance at fainting upon first glance. The AT-AT Gamecube mod (also referred to as the AT-GC in some circles) was built a few years back, but now the proud creator has decided to cash out and let the highest bidder take ownership. This beast maintains the original heatsink and cooling fans, and comes with the AT-AT pilot, four Wavebird controllers and a pair of memory cards. Check out a few more detailed shots and a video in the read link below, and go ahead and throw your bid in while you're at it -- resistance is futile, you know?

Okay, I personally didn't like the Gamecube. But this mod pretty much made me fall in love with it. This is a best mod I have ever seen. Better than those PSP and DS mods.
They should call this S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together.
I'd reconsider because of the sheer size of that thing. Dont want that under my TV.
It doesn't sit under your TV; it walks around until the power and A/V cables wrap around its legs, and it falls over and burst into flames.
LOL I love it!
Carpet floor. That looks like a well-kept game store, I think it's his house. Just as amazing as the AT-GC
if you go to the ebay auction and scroll all the way down, it has more detailed pictures of the game store. ;p
it's a store, i think i've been there, i think it was in Minnesota or something
ok, so it's in ohio, but i live in ohio so i guess it was somewhere here
Wait... Did you just put a Star Trek reference in a Star Wars post?! Don't cross the streams!
Geek test! :)
The Force is strong with this one.
The only thing that was weird with this mod was the placement of the power switch. but beside that quite a nice job packing the internals into that action figure.
This is one sweet mod! Kenner's AT-AT is probably one of the coolest STAR WARS Toys ever. This mod should come with a copy of Rouge Squadron though, by default.
Key to ebay profit:
1. Find old nostalgic toy in non-collectible condition at garage sale.
2. Find newer nostalgic toy that is smaller than old nostalgic toy.
3. Glue new toy INSIDE old toy to make amalgam of unrelated toys that is irresistible to fans of both.
4. Profit!
You forgot
??????
That is awesome. I particularly like the idea of it walking around with the A/V cords wrapped around its' legs; that could make for a whole new gameplay element. :)
This article and the comments are full of win.
:\
This looks awesome, and i would love it, one catch... there arn't any good Gamecube games, and I doubt there are any on the way ;)
You've apparently never played Resident Evil 4. Arguably the greatest game of the last generation consoles.
Flamebait much?
I have this AT-AT in my parents attic. Maybe I should pick up a used xbox 360 and do the same mod.
What would be awesome is if he wrapped the power cable around the legs and put an inline snowspeeder on it!
I've gotta bad feeling about this.. ;)
So you can shove things up its butt, and you have to touch its pee-pee to turn it on...

I get it, the wavebirds are like snowspeeders. But they have no cables... The Rebel Alliance is doomed! Long live the Galactic Empire.
Am I the only one who is willing to point out the "resistance is futile" misquote?
I'm not even a fanboy!
:)
I get the joke, just wanted to make noise.
Nope, you've been beaten to it, multiple times...
Man, this is cool, but if they'd modded the controllers into Snowspeeders it wouldv'e been untouchable.
It looks like it was pulled from ebay.
I bet some "don ed hardy" duchebag filed a VeRO complaint and got it pulled.
Because there was a plug for the store in the auction. it got pulled for "Spamming" Kind of silly if you ask me.
This is not the phrase he's looking for...
It got taken off ebay here is the New link

That link doesn't work now either. :(
I know this store. It's Haven Games, located in Columbus, OH inside City Center Mall. I was actually under the impression that this store was no longer around, but I could be wrong. This store is/was one of the few things left inside City Center that's worth seeing. Lots of awesome collectible games, systems, and accessories, not to mention a great, knowledgeable staff. I hope this doesn't spell the end of their business... 8(
