couldnt find the full specs anywhere....does it was TV/Audio out?
Given the drop in the US$ against world currencies since August, it is amazing it is only $99 more.

Perhaps it's just me, but the price point of this new UMPC format seems to be out there in fairytale land. Or perhaps they came up with this format while pining for the good old days when the average notebook still cost $2000. I'd be curious to see what the profit margins are on these.
This is not a phone (I wish it had a real phone in it because I would buy one.
Dynamism is off their rockers with prices. They will import one for you, not the same as buying one from CompUSA (if they do not go bankrupt) who does sell HTC.
Rumors, even on Engadget says around 900-1000 bucks.

Good thing this is not a Sony product. That way if this product doesn't sell well they won't be blaming it on us and calling us "Cheap Americans".
How the heck can you people be so cheap. $1600 is hardly expensive. I thought tech people had some cash.
I wish Apple's rumored subnotebook was built in this form factor.
With the Eee costing $399, this sounds expensive (yeah, I know it's not the same, I'm just saying).
Next month, woo hoo! Hopefully they'll offer an XP variant too.
The early review showed this as a phone. My hope is that in a few months HTC dumps a 4G radio in the thing and sprint hooks it up on thier WIMAX network as a VOIP phone. ....now THAT would be worth $1500.
In Germany some shops take preorders with shipment set "sometime in January".

The Australian release will be mid January. I have a test unit and let me tell you this is one of the best things I have ever used. HTC really put some thought into the use by the consumer. It is quite responsive and the build quality is a lot better than I thought it could be.
